Nice. Can't wait to see the completed Baneblade.

Make sure you have Commissar Yarrick too! That will really complete it.

Hey Shadowrazor...nice colour scheme!! I assume your back carapace will be different colour from the knee ones? Keep up the good work!!

More updates on my Fortress of Arrogance

Finished up the rest of the main turret and started the painting!!! All those golden rivets are tiring....Also getting ready to do the side-panel.

Hmm...if we compare it against the one by Games Workshop, I think you are almost there. Just a few small differences but nothing critical.

On leave next week. Going to use that time to finish up some of my Imperial Fists.

I like the way u paint the exoskeleton. Are you doing Hive Fleet Kraken colours?

i want my MMO 40k badly!

I thought there were some rumours about the 40K MMO? But wouldnt it be silly if a single space marine runs around by himself. They do work in teams and squads. Haha

Anyway almost there with my Fortress of Arrogance

i think u probably will form up teams to engage enemies..
i rike the idea better then soloing..

soloing tends to make mmo just a level up game :o

Yea, i'm attempting to lol. I'll probably vary the colors a bit as I don't really like red/black I'll go with green/black instead and see how it turns out. Nice tank man :D Hmm a WH40k mmo eh? I can't imagine how game mechanics would be, probably different from anything else we've seen so far.

I've been thinking of starting this hobby in the near future( collect the models and paint them only) but i'm still quite unsure whether to go on with the idea : /

I plan to make a tyranid army and I want to try out one of the cheaper sets first (Like the gaunts and hormagaunts set or genestealers.BTW how much are either sold at in SG?) Is it cheaper to buy the minis locally or through maelstrom games? Cuz now i'm still a student the only thing stopping me is muney :(

EDIT: Carnifex from PI or ComicsMart is usually how much?

Hi, close313

I think there was a similar query few pages back. Local shops offer discounts and membership points. Recently there was an additional 15% discount on GW stuff at the 2 shops (not too sure if related to dropping Pound).

Maelstrom should be cheaper if it offers 20% discount (common for online stores). They do not charge for shipping internationally, so it should still be cheaper.

The best is to actually go down, ask for price and any discounts and calculate.

Last piece of advice, if you intend to collect, then the BATTALION box set is the way to go since you get more stuff than if u buy them individually.

Almost completed....

Thanks Spindoc for that generous amount of advice!
You answered alot of my questions especially with your last one. The Tyrannid Battleforce is quite expensive i might say :s22: But it definitely looks more worth it than buying individual sets..

I think i shall call the shops to check the prices and wait for a little while more till prices drop / higher discounts appear. And wait till i can commit more time for it haha.

BTW thats a pretty cool tank you have there. I like all the details such as emblems you put on it.

Haha well Gamesworkshop miniatures aren't exactly stocks. To be honest, the current(?) 15% discount on top of membership points is the best deal i have seen since i started buying stuff 10 yrs ago (maybe except for the one-off time when GW opened in Plaza Singapura, they had a Buy 3 get 1 free deal)

I have seen the price of a box-set rise from 40 to 60 to 72 over the years. I don't think it will "drop" further.

But still online shops would be definitely cheaper without any shipping cost.

Yeah it definitely isnt a cheap hobby to start up!!
