Anyone with AppleCare experience? Let’s say if I buy Apple care now, it will extend my stainless steel ver to a year more? Current one expired nov 2022. And if there is any incident to the watch, I only need to pay extra $98 for a brand new one?

i would hesitate to use the word "new" one. it's a replacement yes and it is likely going to be a refurbished unit.

But you are right, you can opt to pay $98 for a replacement and you can even do so via Express Replacement without going in store. But this practice is not an official Apple policy, so you will find that the apple store might be a little averse to openly publicising it. and they will do it in "air quotes"

dropped my series 2 stainless steel on the floor 3 days ago and the LCD came off... immediately ordered a 45mm series 7 and received it yesterday... really love the bigger screen and always on feature... using it to unlock my iphone while wearing my mask is also one of the features that i looked forward to besides the ECG and Blood Oxygen features...

overall... series 7 did not disappoint me... i just hope it is as lasting as my series 2 stainless steel... it really served me well for so many yrs... i've dropped it before numerous times and it neither causes any dent or problem... dunno why this time the LCD came off...

this time i bought the aluminum version instead... see if it can take the same beating as my series 2 a not... noticeable difference is the glass... stainless steel version is using sapphire crystal while aluminium is using Ion-X...

wondered if i should repair the series 2 and let my eldest gal wear a not... anyone knows which repair shop is reputable and good?

Can I check something with you guys. After I pair my apple watch (GPS, non cellular) with my iphone, I leave my iphone at home and take my apple watch out with me. My apple watch is then connected to wifi hotspot, will my apple watch still able to:

1) Receive whatapps msges sent to my iphone?
2) Receive and accept whatapps calls to my iphone?
3) Receive and accept normal phone calls to my iphone?

Given that your Apple Watch is non cellular, what will it be connected to? Wifi? or nothing?

because in the absence of Wifi, in order for it to be connected to the internet or your iphone is via Bluetooth and bluetooth range is short.

It should be if set up correctly. You can test it in your own house by turning off bluetooth and maybe connect ur watch / iphone on different wifi.

Thanks. I don't have an apple watch now but considering getting one if this arrangement works. I asked as sometimes I would just like to wear my apple watch and bring my personal phone only, leaving my iphone at home. My personal phone can then on its hotspot for apple watch to connect to.

But oh btw just to be clear.

1) you can receive whatsapp messages and reply to messages you receive. you cannot start new messages
2 & 3) you cannot receive or make whatsapp calls but you can make normal calls

hi guys , those with the aw7 sport band are your fitting loose on the band with the silver button ? I swop up and down and still the same . Where the longer band sit tight. Google and found like a wide spread problem. Wonder anyone manage to get a replacement at Apple store itself
