Wah lao...original AW from 2015 is considered 'unusable' to me liao at least. It's very slow, and have built issues.
They told me just using it for purely as a clock+wallet app lol. They told me if one day it dies also 回本 already. Then they will buy SE model :ROFLMAO:

Speaking of which, I have many AW user friends in my circle(They are the one who poison me to dive into AW in the first place) But only 2 pax incl myself has Ultra. Majority are SE. A few S6/S7. Two S0. :D

I don't power off at all, always leave it charging overnight and wear back when I wake up.
I used my S7 for 8 months before selling. Wore everyday since I got it, even to bed, charge everyday.

Sold it off to my friend at 99% battery capacity. :ROFLMAO:

I've a number of colleagues using AW too but none are original gen ones. Basically most of them are using S5 and above, but I'm the only one using Ultra. :p

Ever since I got AWU, my S7 has been decommissioned, balance 97% capacity. Not sold yet, still sitting in my cupboard.

how many days on average is the awu lasting for u guys battery wise? on a full charge, im down to about 30% after 1.5 days. wayfinder watchface with compass used

im not sure if this is normal but ive been using my awu for my daily outdoor runs (usually around 7.5k on Bluetooth), it takes about 8% of battery each time. Previously my other apple watches used to take 2%. not sure if this is normal..

70% of battery for 1.5days sounds about right.

Not very sure about your outdoor runs tho. Never really tracked battery % exhausted for the duration of my workouts/runs tho haha. Maybe It could be factors such as more precise compass or using of cellular?

Nomad Sport Band vs Apple Midnight Ocean Band!

Color wise:
Ocean band has a slight blue hue whereas Nomad's is pure black in color.

Aesthetics:
Ocean band is wider(Like G-shock), whereas Nomad's is similar to the Nike sport band (But sleeker)

Overall texture and wrist feel:
Ocean is slightly smoother but not as airy as the Nomad's.
Nomad's is slightly more grippy & of course, easier to put on (Feels more secure than Nike's, but not as secure as the Ocean band for sure)

To sum it all, in my personal opinion. Ocean band is much more rugged, better suited to be worn with street wear, smart casual. Nomad sport band is much sleeker as it's full black & width is thinner, very much suited for smart casual or casual wear.

Anyone else here powers off the watch before sleeping to minimise battery usage and maximise the mileage?
Power off Apple Watch every night and reboot Apple Watch in the morning to go to work.

Watch battery can last from 7am till late night if go out that late.

Has been doing this since day 1 of owning Apple Watch.

No way to charge Apple Watch once started work due to back to back meetings, etc

battery health
90% for 3 years plus old S5 Watch

never tio poison and will never be.

still holding on to my 2nd Apple Watch aka S5 and maybe go for AWU 2 next year or AW3 etc.

Btw, with AWU pick up easily in store. Still do not see many AWU Watch users outside. Once a while, only see one AWU user.

A+ for effort.

I guess you don't use sleep tracking function, so good for you.

If you ever need to change battery for S5 it's $115 regardless if you have AC+ or not btw.

U should hold out and wait for AWU 10.

Once I reached home, I take out Watch and charge and then power off after full charge

I do not have the habit to wear watch at home even if I work from home during office hours.

so will not wear watch to sleep too

tracking sleeping pattern is good but I simply do not like something on my wrist when I sleep. Not even fitness band eg Fitbit

if not because of 1st AOD for S5, I likely still using 1st gen Apple Watch.

for incremental upgrade in my personal view, I will skip

after all, it is just Apple Watch

Similar to iPhone, I have stopped upgrading Liao. I see how long I can hold on to 12PM. Used to upgrade once every 2 years. But not so for 14PM. Probably I know my needs and with incremental updates these days, it does not justify to pay and pay 🤣

the excitement to upgrade during the "golden days" of iPhone has gone. The desire to own new iPhone on day 1 also gone. Maybe only me feel this way
