Anyone else experiencing poorer battery life after updating to the latest Watch OS last week and using the latest Modular Digital Ultra watch face?

Could it be because i am using the Elevation and Compass complications on my watch face which drains the battery?
Do the complications really make a noticeable difference in battery drainage? I'm wondering too...

I've been using casing until a couple of months back.

Gave up because I've a habit of wanting to remove casing and straps to wash once I'm home from an outing. If the buttons can really drop/break off easily, then I'd advise being very careful if you want to use a casing.

I've gone down on the frequency of washing the watch as well, only wipe most of the time, since getting lazy with having to go through the water-removal process :s34:

I googled and apparently some complications do drain battery more. Like the compass and elevation ones which refresh 'live' as compared to most other complications which are refreshed every 10 minutes.

Anyway i've turned off the compass and elevation complications and battery life is indeed better now.

Quite a while back we'd a discussion about which Ultramen were using 2 watches.

Other than @Snoweagle who mentioned lately that he does, anyone else?

Same wrist or one on each side?

Reason/s for doing that?

(I do, one on each, secondary one for notification reason, different phones)

Hahaha....yeah, AWU on left, GW6 on right. Reason is I use both iOS and android and don't like to carry phones on hand, usually in my pocket when I go lunch at work or in my bag at all other times. In this situation the watch is handy for notifications.

Ya, best thing with smart watches for me is not having to hold any phone and yet know when there's an incoming call or text. 👍👍

Yup, looking at the watch is far easier and more convenient than keep taking the phone out to check, unless have to reply messages or check stuffs. Even for phone calls (depending on situation), I just answered via watch.

I bought a few straps from Taobao. Feels very good and only cost a few dollars. Haha! Anyone bought 3rd party straps?
Me. Too many.

After paying $139 each for 2 originals with my Ultra1.0. Not anymore...

Quality of 3rd party straps for few dollars seem value for money. Not sure it lasts but think can last for some time. Few dollars per strap only. Can buy new one if old strap is not usable for whatever reason

in short can afford to change strap more frequently

Same. I don't see myself changing my AWU until it lorry tbh. 🤣 I don't think there will be any AW function that will make me "oh dang, i need it, time to upgrade"

Main reason I upgrade from S7 was probably due to the design change & Titanium 🤣

Actually Apple Watch not easy to sell. Also don’t buy stainless steel. When you sell, tio lowball left right centre. I let my dog wear my Apple Watch 6

What a lucky dog you have LOL! 🤣

When I sold my S7 did have offers. Because I priced it quite decently & still have 1.5 years of AC+ left. But I ended up selling to a friend of mine & threw in all the cases/straps I have. 😬
