Yes. I can transfer money to China friend from WeChat using credit card option. But transfer to SG friend will require WeChat wallet to have sufficient fund. Credit card transfer is blocked.

I had tried using a credit card tied to WeChat to transfer $$$ til it was blocked by WeChat.
So far, I haven't had the chance to transfer from WeChat wallet, as there was no money until lately, and then I got some.
Yes you can. Balance in Wechat Wallet is very flexible.

DBS transfer rate to Wechat/Alipay is lousy but still slightly better than deduct from credit card (3% transaction fee on any single payment that exceeds 200RMB).
For example you pay S$1,000 via Wechat/Youtrip the transaction fee is about S$30+. If you transfer via DBS you will incurr about half the S$30+ due to the poor conversion rate. End of the day not much different unless you are lots of expensive stuff in China which quite unlikely for my case.

Spitted the bill in the multiple of RMB200. Will wok but take some times to complete the whole transfer.

I can now transfer cny to my china icbc account at spot rate using maribank app btw.
Open wechat search for 跨境汇 款微汇款 set up your profile then go maribank app and select overseas transfer

Seems like it's a new issue that's yet to be resolved by YT, need to rely on other payment cards.
Don't mind me asking, what's the other payment methods you have apart from YT?
setup wechat wallet to accept foreign bank aka SG bank top-up $$$ into it. using maribank to top-up $$ into wechat wallet, rate is abt 5.2+.

when you use meituan or other in restaurants apps, change the payment to Ali pay instead of wechat
Apart from YT, Trust is also added as a backup. Recently added Union Pay, don't have 3 percent fee for above RMB 200 payment

I have Trust too but just wondering what others might be using too that I haven't been keeping up with.
