What is your PSLE score?

it's been a long while since my pri sch days, but it's impossible for me to forget my psle score. i did shockingly well that i rmb these 3 'magical' digits..... 262.

went to normal neighbourhood sch though. but nv regretted it. did well even since then.

ended up in a sec sch not in my 6 choices. scored too well in prelims and choosed all the good schs

still love my sec sch though. sec sch life rocks!

my primary school classmate got one got more than 270 psle but then at that time he had already started studying secondary school stuff taught by private tutors. so PSLE is nothing to him...

his mother's philosophy is to study 1-yr ahead of his peers.

I believe that PSLE (or O Levels as a matter of fact) is not a good gauge for "intelligence", since people develop at different rates, etc. Some of my friends who did better than me in PSLE, did worse than me in O Levels. Some people whom I think are really smart, do like crap in Os.

It's all a matter of sucking up to the system really, and studying it the smart way. After all, it is just another step higher in getting towards the much needed "paper-work" in Singapore.

Currently in poly. choose a course that dun need to mug =) ... Easy A and dist.

Sounds like a stupid and stressful idea to me...

If it was my kid, I make sure he/she just need to do the bare minimum, advance into express, and then work hard in sec 3/4.
I rather he/she spent more time doing the thing he/she likes, and has an enjoyable childhood.

PSLE: 233. 3A, A* for Science. Never expected to get A for Chinese. Anyway, I played through my PSLE.
I became a lot more serious for my sec school prelims and o levels... got 6 pts for both.

simply put, it's ok to play hard and not study so hard from primary 1 to sec 3. after that, mug hard + play hard all the way.

I was really happy cos I didn't study much at all. Am very grateful to my parents who pushed me in the last month to study, because it got me into a school where looking back now, presented me with many great opportunities.

From Chinese high to hcjc now, one week away from a levels, it has been a very enriching six years thanks to my not too shabby psle score

L1R5 of 8 (minus 4 for a final score of 4) B3 for English ... got an A1 for GP in JC though, along with 3As.

I am not a nerd. I hardly study at home, no tuition ever before.

o level lucky get 3 A1,2 B3 and 1 c6(eng). end up in poly and have real great fun.never regret.
