What PC speakers are u using?

I narrow down for you:
- Klipsch promedia (Unknown whether still can buy or not.)
- Elac (Skip as you need a decent amp for it)
- Edifier R1280DBs
- Audioengine this one depends on your budget.
In my opinion the cheaper A1 sound is tiny since the speaker size is small.
If you want bigger and louder sound consider the bigger model like A5+ but
be prepare to spend at least around $700

Best to go down to Challenger Bugis to test the Edifier and Klipsch.
Audioengine only place can test is Stereo.
Skip the ELAC as if you cheap out on the amp it won't sound nice.

The rest of the speaker brand have build in amp inside the speaker so
you don't need a amp to drive it.

A decent amp for Elac will cost $400-500 or so?
I suppose need to go down to see if worth it. Gotta see if i can hear the difference lol

seems like alot of people got misconception that got subwoofer, means alot of bass, whole house will shake etc.

NO!

A subwoofer tuned in by ears (may not be as good as measurement mic, but still good enough), add on the bass extension that your main speakers cant cover, and the sub only works if theres music in that frequency.
Tuned properly, you will get more body/sustain in bass and in movies rumble, but never muddying the mid-bass/mids and certainly no "boom"!

Those getting boom, either your room is reflecting alot of 120+hz bass from your main speakers as well or your subwoofer vol is too high

True which is why I say skip cuz eventually down the road.
You want to upgrade the amp or upgrade the cable.
Is a expensive hobby if you ask me since I am using Home theater setup.

If you want Audiophile quality I suggest try the Klipsch promedia.
Audioengine wise is expensive in my opinion and the sound
may not suit everyone.

This is a dangerous statement to an Audiophile, but for PC Desktop speakers, may not be so profound lol...

I have played with many speaker so I can give you some idea how it sound.
But ultimately it depends what you prefer.

Some like loud, some like bass, some like balanced etc.

Yes don't buy, expensive is one thing.
The bass is horribly off, I won't forget try to play movie on it.
The bass just distort very badly so I end up return it back to the shop.

My one got mold when unboxing, returned back to logitech.
It's actually a rebrand of very cheap speakers in India.

First thing is the speaker size for this model isn't big, smaller the speaker the bass output will be
smaller as compare with bigger speakers.
If you intend to play games I rather you get the Edifier R1280DBs at least the bass will be
deeper since the speaker is much larger than AE A2+.
