The commissions for agents are really good. Just sell 1 unit per quarter can live a very comfortable life!

I don't see a need to pay them so high really. Some agents are just useless and do not value add to the process.

Buyers - make sure you ask for a share of the commissions. If one agent says no, just ask another. :)

Agreed. Learn how to diy.

it's true. My property agent is an ex colleague. He told me he shouldn't have studied so hard last time since he's going to be a property agent anyway.

I guess his last drawn was about a ballpark figure of 5k monthly. Property agent earns him much more comfortably than that amount for the past many years.

I've posted the reason before but it's not a surprise as Singaporeans often view properties as a defensive instrument before COVID.

Funny. In life, we need outsider to guide us.

Some believe in the paster who earn big $.
Some believe the agents who earn big $.

But most don't believe in your parents who provide you $.
1 ear in, 1 earn out.

Don't understand your what you are trying to mean.
But 5k isn't anything very spectacular to be comfy enough anyway.

ah... i mean when buying property, we still need agent to give us good or bad advice. Someone to blame to instead of doing it yourself selling or buying.

Your friend make the right choice venturing into becoming an property agent.

wow.. if you find that property agents makes good money, you can also take RES license and become one

in any transactions, you need a proficient agent to help you with your transactions.. we have seen many examples in this forum, asking wat to do when things cocked up , why this, why that, how this, how that....
this is our value, to prevent all this cock-up cases and ensure that the transaction is smooth.. i cant speak on behalf of all the agents out there as some are newbie, some are part-timers.. but there are many good agents out there as well ..

asking the agent for kick-back is like when you work for your boss, your boss pay u a salary but then ask u back for a portion of it..

Wrong analogy. Mohamed Ismail Gafoor not asking you back for salary. Just you sharing with your client a certain percentage of your commissions to entice him to buy from you instead of other agents.

Quote u for Gafoor to sue u. Then we will know whether u are an old lady or young boy.
