anyway tiagong got new batch coming next week, can ask mobilestop if the new batch got issue not. for now, i guess buying from qoo10 or from the shop is like a sure-lose gamble. :D

Mobilestop is the wsd seller in qoo10. Saw their label at back of my package. I also send them an inquiry via qoo10. So lets see what they reply bah.

Hope wsd will put a v2 on package for easy identification.

Anyway, the whitestone sg in qoo10 is not exactly whitestone korea with a SG branch. They not working on weekends so lets hope they can give us good response on mon.

I think the main problem is the local glue which needs time to dry..today is the 2nd day..now my fingerprint is much more accurate and fast..those that have given up too early..may regret tearing it out

I also noticed a few things while applying wsd sp.

1. The sp rig has 2 protruding notches at the sides, making it hard for me to push the absorbent pads to absorb any spilling glue. I can only rest it on top of it which means it may not absorb any glue. Thankfully, mine does not have any glue spill.

2. It uses the old design from S8 whereby there is a guide at top. Lay the sp onto it and pull out the guide to lower it and spread the glue.

3. The releasing of glue is not at centre for some reason. Its at the 30% mark of the phone from top. I have applied for s8, s8+, s9, s9+, note 8, note 9, p2xl, p3 and all of them are at the centre if not around 45-55% mark. Had to guide the glue towards the centre.

4. If i lay the sp using the bottom as a base then resting onto the top guide, the overall position of the sp on my s10 seems very low. The camera hole also will not fit well. Once laid down, i had to manually push up the sp to match with the camera hole.

5. Similar to point 4, there is a big gap from top of sp to top of phone if i lay the sp at bottom of rig. Also, there is a small indent at top of sp which should match the bottom part of the speaker at top. That got me thinking if this sp is too small or short, perhaps design taken from older s8 instead?

Hope wsd can solve these issues and provide a refund or replacement set for those bought from qoo10 or shops. It would be bad for their reputation if this is not fixed fully.

Ince it becomes better ..you may try to register again

Yeah, after i cured for 40 mins straight (while watching a show), i registered and it seems to be better. Somehow i need to put at certain angle then can read a certain part of thumb nia.

Monitor longer and see if it is indeed better ba. So far its very unreliable for me.

I know someone who bought 2 sets from p2omobile and had no issues. Even showed me a short video. Maybe those that bought from qoo10 are the unlucky batch. lol.

Ah so I'm not alone... I applied on Saturday afternoon by myself (and yeah it's from qoo10), and I had to press very hard to re-register. Even so, fingerprint unlock is almost always unsuccessful, I think I only had two or three successful attempts re-verifying for Samsung Pay out of the many many times.

I FB messaged Whitestone Singapore, and they suggested I should just wait awhile for the glue to settle down... The thing is, I also didn't cure for a long time, as the instructions seem to say a total of 75 seconds for top/bottom, but it seems like most of you spent more than five minutes to do so... should I attempt to re-cure it? Or just see if it gets better tomorrow?

probably the glue was let down too low before the glass was lowered, causing the glue unable to spread evenly upwards but seep out into the side taps..

Just a quick update on my wsd. Seems like FP is getting a little bit better. I only need to aim at the middle of the FP logo and press harder then it will register and unlock phone. Works like 8/10. Although i prefer the sp-less version whereby I can press lightly and still read.

U shld have push upwards after the glue has fully spread within the SP. Like that wun have the bubbles or leftover space.

The shop lady helped me install.

Anyway, I PM the shop with pic, they said it's covered under their 1 week warranty.
