Yeah. Even if you turn your phone upside down, it still should be able to detect the fingerprint.

I think the issue is too much or uneven LOCA at the sensor area.

I was thinking of doing something similar to try this weekend.

Hope it works...

lol let us know when u reached the same stage (simple light tap to unlock) as film type. if that is possible then ppl may be more willing to give it a 2nd chance.
It is very hard to compare with the film type experience.
What I can say now is I can unlock it everytime if I get the amount of force from my thumb just right.
Press too much, it says no match. Press little, it will ask to press harder.
The amount of force required is determined just on my feeling. I can't really describe how much.
But the obvious fact is I need to press harder if I am unlocking with my left thumb, compared to right thumb.
Yeah so, I can conclude that it is not as easy peasy as the film type.

Besides the most important thing, it is very important to position your thumb as the way you would unlock when you add it into the system as the video below said.
With a lot of angle, it won't work.
So for my thumbs, I registered in the 90 degrees in the first place since I add the fingerprints.

For me i got it right the first time.

I was thinking through how could we improve on how to put the wsd and make the fp work.

So instead of using more loca glue, i lessen the glue by a couple of drops left. And instead of letting it flow till the middle of the screen, i let it spread more at the top. This will give more glue to the top and lesser glue on the bottom. Furthermore i readjusted the camera cutout hole and speaker hole to realign accordingly. Doing so, some of the excess glue came out from the sides and being absorbed by the side sponge provided.

Cure it for a good 15mins and the fp works fine. Not the lightest tap. A slight pressure is needed.

Just today, under the sun at work, went to have lunch, the fp scanner went from slight pressure to slight tap.

Imo, it will get better and better everyday. Just give it some time to fully cure it and harden up.

There was someone who posted the top part bubbling after a few days. mine had same issue. according to red white mobile, this is quite high probability of bubbling so expect for it to bubble after sometime till whitestone comes out with revised version, fp reliability and bubbling will differ among everybody. depends on luck.

Some more they must had paid a lot for that “designed for Samsung” logo. If they can’t rectify, they might get struck out from the accessories programme..

$60 for a sp, due die must work. Cannot depend on luck..

Was it me?

I'm back to report that for the 2nd piece, it happened again. I am not sure if it's an issue with the glass or installation method.

I'd reached out again to Mobilestop. Let's see what happen.

BTW, I'm on UAG Monarch case. Anyone with this case and WSD? And your WSD no bubbling at top? Thanks.

I was told by redwhite that most if not all whitestone for s10 will encounter same bubbling issues. only thing we can do now is wait for revised version from whitestone.

You all do know that if you all cure it, you all could actually remove it and re apply right?

Just that you need a lot of patience to save it. You will need isopropyl alcohol which can be bought in guardian, soak it and leave it there for abt half an hour. Then use a cotton ball or best lint free cloth to rub off the gel like loca.

so is that the missing key part?
