Why everyone think GE is May 2025?

Tbh I don't think they will cut it so close... Nov 2025 is the latest, but what if there's a national emergency? What if sentiments then aren't too good? Also, it's usually done during school hols when schools are used as polling centres. So end May, June, or Sept are likely dates. But even Sept I feel it's cutting it too close.

I personally believe the actual dates are one week earlier. The above whatsapp message was probably delibrately spread around to test balloon or something.

If cooling off day is labour day, it will be damn weird, cuz labour day will have speeches. So, high chance cooling day on 2nd May instead.

Also, map announced on 11 March.

High chance, 1-2 weeks earlier than the dates in the circulating whatsapp message.

From the EBRC report to election day is 2-4 months based on past elections. Highly unlikely will be so far away in November

No, they refrain from holding elections during school holidays cos this is only time for teachers to travel.

Election must be held by Nov this year, thus, may is a high possibility.
