it is also stupid to say that investors will be unhappy and all will leave.

for every investor that leaves, 10 are happy to replace to get the opportunity.

Actually even for a lot of MNCs, wage is a concern to them and we're not the cheapest country in this region to operate in. Things that work in our favour include safety, political stability and very low corporate tax rates. So if they feel that the increase in wage is too big a trade off, it'll affect Singapore's attractiveness

So what else can the government do to help Sinkie to live in the world most expensive city
Minimum wages is a way to help them cope in here , by promising them a bare minimal wages in order to survive here.
Data has shown that inflation increases faster than wages. Without a minimum wages law in place , would employees increase the wage for them regularly to cope with the circumstances? The ans is no. In a country where 1st world status is more important than the citizen it is their priority to fulfill their KPI first before going to sinkie and ask if they are satisfied with their wages.
SO vote Oppo if u want somebody think with a heart and cares
If Numbers and Rankings are what u are looking for, Vote PAP

Transport, food vouchers are some of the ways, help to lesson the cost of living abit

Concession card is already available though the amount can be lower more

Most important is to deprivatised the transport back to government, not profit driven

Minimum wage will ensure your chicken rice becomes $5 or more quicker.
Do you agree or disagree, and why?

I think its good that it adds cost pressure to business. We are not a sweatshop country where there's unacceptable working condition with healthy long working hours. No reason to get exploit by the business. We have tons of the super rich here, are you saying they cant even stand the cost pressure?

Lets admit it. The health cost has been spiking even without minimum wages. train fare has been increasing even without minimum wages. Everything has gone up even without minimum wages.

Its been shown and proven that improving skillsets has no impact to sustaining and holding on to your job. You go for an interview with awesome skillsets, but you cant prove it to the HR at all. He'll just choose the one asking for much lesser pay.

It helps the poor in the long run. Providing financial scheme is just a short term aid.

Before anyone say I am an opposition IB, let me say I have been supporting PAP for a very long time now.
