U mean those warmer heat packs ah? Shake and use when needed... I have them handy.. charcoal ones and what one. Sometimes its really the wind that I need to guard and also getting the balaclava for full face protection. I need a good down jacket and i learned that not the puffier it is the warmer i will feel!
Those types of hand warmers are not as good as the USB battery rechargeable packs.

Get the battery ones.

I realised hor… u guys earned 20K per month but however not much spending on winter clothing and holidays WHY Ah!?!
Maybe you go to the city and buy the clothing from the stores there better. Generic brand also good.

I don't buy big branded. Brands like O'Neill Quicksilver Firefly McKinley Landmark. Mountain Warehouse. If you coming to Alberta Rockies. Go Mountain Warehouse and Sportchek.

Decathlon also works but is more expensive.

U also need to check out the breathablity if the fabric.

Some is keep out cold very well but cannot breath, end up your sweat will be trapped inside the jacket and will feel ery lousy. Then once u take it off to let the sweat out, you are exposed to cold air
Thats why hiking and ski have zip at armpit and tummy area for vent.

Those breathable material like goretex is not for sub zero temp.

Agreed totally!!
My recent trip to Yamagata, up on the Mountain Zao, even though the temperature was in the teens, the wind chill temp was just crazy, moi just wore jeans only, though was 3 layers on the body, its was terribly cold and I was shivering away………lol
And due to the extreme change in temperature, very easy to fall sick - that's the worst thing to happen on a holiday

Share your winter experiences.
How you do your layering for the Winter holiday season? What are the winter wear brands you go for and recommend and how much are you willing to spend for each winter holiday season?

For me, if I am heading for minus temperature, Ice breaker merino wool of 200 - 260 is a must followed by a fleece jacket and a good down (FP 800 - 1000) plus a hard shell

Share your winter shopping loots and footwear and socks too and the activities and places you go. For me Uniqlo don't seems to work.

Freezing in heat tech and now they launch the cashmere series but i have doubts abt it
i ever walked around in -10 with windbreaker+sweater or fleece+longsleeve+vest.....

i find keeping the chest warm suffice for up to -5. its more frostbites due to wind im afraid of.....

Jeans can be totally wrong for winter. U need cargo or insulated pants while outdoors
