I managed to reserve the special limited edition E8 all black for a week plus. Tried the demo set again and this time I tried their apps too. It's either that set for $329 or the standard black for $286. Well I rather spent extra $40 bucks more but still saved $100!. Damn, you guy's poisoned me! But I've got the all black antidote now! Hehehe.. So far I'm very satisfied with my purchased, finally after 5 months of hesitation.
286 for E8?

That price is very cheap. I got my standard black at the airport at RRP ($429) but have 7% GST off due to changi rewards card, so paid $398.

Yeah but since I'm working at the airport, so might as well. But very satisfied with the purchase.

I’m seriously considering this, my jaybird x3 skip every time my hand swing.... I was holding my phone.... feels like cable loose connection no good kind.... when I’m using BT.... this feels really weird

Using this combination. Sometimes it does skip but rarely unless got interference. Overall the connectivity is excellent!

Honestly speaking, go for it and I guarantee you will absolutely love it! Some more the Beoplay app can allow you to tweak tonetouch settings to your preference, meaning adjusting bass, mids, highs, treble and surround to your heart's content.

It's currently the best true wireless earbuds out there and you can take my word for it.

Guy's just to clear the air.. I used my NS50 voucher to offset the retail price of 429. Cheapest so far I can find is at stereo with a member's price of 386 but they do not bring in the limited edition set. So that's how it's either 286 or 329. I bought it at Tangs since they're the only one bringing it in AND do accept the voucher. Sorry if my previous msg was misleading.

Couldn't agree more!! And surprisingly the silicone tips is way much more fitting and comfortable then my jaybird's.

Still good price! I thought the all white and black are only available at the Grand Hyatt showroom.

I'm using the pre-fitted silicone tips that came in the box. Those extras in the packet are still not touched.

So anyone encounter this with the E8?

This is from another forum:
"Being new I'm not looking for any arguments, just interested in a good debate. I used the AirPods for 14 months and each of the other earphones for at least 1 week. I live and work in central London and did almost the same journey via the tube and alongside busy roads every day with each pair. The reason I feel I am in a good position to comment on the quality of the microphones is that over the 14 months I used the AirPods it was very rare any one ever mentioned that they couldn't hear me. I used that as a marker of microphone quality. The B&O e8's were so bad that I actually rung the B&O store with them to show them what they sounded like around traffic and with wind. My wife even refused to talk to me if I had them in on my way back from work unless I put my AirPods back on. The store agreed a full refund after hearing the phone call but did say that they were unable to fix the problem even if they gave me a new pair. They also said that a firmware update may fix the issue but they couldn't promise when that might happen. This also appears to be a problem picked up by others on the beoworld forums as well: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/28412/225079.aspx#225079 and https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/28115/222012.aspx.

I tested all the other microphones in a similar manner and used the AirPods as the bench mark and when the other person couldn't hear me I swapped over to the AirPods to see if they could and 9 times out of 10 they could. I even made sound recording with some of them to test the microphone in various environments. Sounds a bit OCD but for me the quality of the microphone is almost as important as the music or connectivity. I make a lot of calls with headsets when travelling or commuting.

The two caveat's to my reviews above are that I could have received a slightly defective pair and not noticed it. Also the model of phone used could potentially make a difference. The AirPods probably work best with iPhones using a W1 chip. Unfortunately I don't have an Android phone to be able to test this."

Hahaha.. Yeah that's what I did too, just to get the best price. Unless you can find other merchant that gives better promotion or offer. I've been searching around this 5 months believe me stereo's still the cheapest. I've even called up B&O Malaysia way before this product was launched and was quoted Rm$1500 retail price! Meaning 429 is already cheap compared to them.

The actual RRP is €299 so SG selling at $429 is already cheaper.

Can’t decide between B&O E8 and Jabra Elite 65t, there aren’t a lot of reviews on the 65t yet but overall seems pretty on par with the e8? Can anyone comment on the sound quality for these two and the connectivity?

65t..I find the double mic really help on the communication..but for music, the high is slightly on the high side..and you get occasionally signal interference when u near those magnetic zone...for E8...I haven't audition it yet...
