So how's myeongdong like now? I saw someone asking earlier but good to hear from those who recently traveled there.

Recommended to stay in Myeongdong (if back to bustling)?
About 40% of the shops are closed but still thronged by tourists from all over the world. Last weekend they have beer carnival/fest. Easy to find food and drinks. Klook day tour meeting point to Nami island around Myeondong subway too. Michelin star Myeongdong dumpling can see people queing up before it open for business.

At Myeong-don. Somemore it was few days ago when the spot rate was about 995. I think no money changer in sg can beat this rate.

Sorry bro, cannot remember the exact location of this particular money charger. (IIRC, it is somewhere the China embassy)
Nonetheless, there are still tons of money changers along the Myeong-Dong walking street and some of their rates still beat sg ones.

Used my YouTrip card to pay for the K-ETA application… pending exchange rate is 1001.8… but the payment still pending… does the final rate deviate a lot from the pending rate?

How's the situation at Myeongdong now? Got any sample video? :o
Sample video? Paiseh...
Lao auntie here, don't know how to upload photos and videos...
Basically, some shops are closed down permanently or vacant. Even uniqlo is no longer there. Eateries are still surviving well though. There are still street food vendors in myeongdong at night.
I went to Ehwa University shopping area yesterday and it was pretty quiet too. Dunnoe if it is quiet due to Mondays or shops are closed permanently due to covid.

Thank you. How's the crowd like in Myeongdong? I understand many shops are closed but have read that tourists are coming back. Would be great if it's already bustling despite not being back to the old numbers.

There is crowd at night, especially tourists coz of street food. During the day, its more of the locals going to Myeongdong for lunch.
Etude House is no longer there but the other beauty shops (Nature Republic, Missha, Laneige etc) are still there.
Not many independent shops selling clothes in Myeongdong now.. mostly are those established brands such as SPAO etc.
I have walked past Hongdae and it looks busy.
I haven't been to Sinchon streets yet and so, I have no idea. But the shopping malls (Hyundai shopping mall) in Sinchon are filled with people on weekends.

If you guys intend to buy Tmoney card for trains etc, it might be a problem now as I hardly see any ticket counter selling them. In fact, I din see any ticketing counters nowadays. Koreans are using credit cards to pay for their fares now, just like SG. Luckily for me, I can still use those that I purchased in 2019.

Need to dig my Tmoney card out. Not sure if expired.

In any case, is it possible for us to use our credit card for trains and bus fares too?

You also can buy T money from convenient stores like GS25, 7-11... as I bought T money from them in the past.
