If you travel to Japan regularly, then it's a different story. Ultimately different strokes for different folks.

I don't see the need for so many shoes, hence I prefer to bespeak them. 3 comfortable pairs to rotate is more important than a wide variety of shoes.

However, I have to emphasize that bespeaking is not for everyone. I also think there is a misconception that companies earn more from bespoke, that might not be true. There are more costs involved that might trim their margins.

I'm more likely to believe that most brands earn more from mass produced models.

I think you're pretty much right in regards to how much margin makers are getting in regards to bespoke vs RTW. I suppose it's more to maintain the prestige of the brand and in turn help push more RTW/MTOs off their shelves.

Btw, for those who are interested in getting a pair of EG, Farfetch.com is having what appears to be very steep discount on their EG and C&J stocks. Nothing caught my eye personally other than the EG monks and the sizes are more for UK8.5 and onwards folks on the EGs (which excludes me sadly...)

Nonetheless, prices are around SGD800-900 for the EGs after delivery charges (before GST) if you apply the code "x20june15" for sale items

Lots of places to buy trees here in SG, local cobblers and Muji sells them at inflated prices... I missed the days when cedar trees were selling for 4 pairs/30USD on ebay...

As for Venetian Shoe Creme << I assume that's what you're referring to, not possible to get it in SG the last time I checked (half a year ago). Have to be shipped in from US...

IIRC I dont think even think EEA makes cordovan for MTO. So probably calf.

You will know when you wear it. Calf creases, Cordovan rolls.

Go google for how they look (the traits I mentioned), if you require more reference

Go Tangs la, they got the range there. Use card rebate can get discount somemore.

What back knob? You're using the epic twin tube type or the ball and spring?

If the former (and sized properly) insert fully as per normal.

If the latter, go buy the former.

If it is cordovan, they will tell you it is cordovan because they have to charge more for it.

Yes i think mine is calf, no horse smell, so this cream I cannot use?

I dun recommend cordovan cream for calf leather. You can sell it and buy the right one.
