Well, I'm no guru.
But I think it's very deceptive and bordering on criminal if they are marketing themselves as "handwelted". Sure, the welt is sewn on by hand, but thats where the similarity ends. Anyone can sew, but not everyone can do a proper handwelt.

Taking another look at the video....
1) Their "insole" looks like some fabric crap.
2) There appears to be no inseaming done at all. Because, the "thread" goes through the "insole", the uppers, and the "welt" all at once. Which in turn means.... that in terms of construction, it might probably be weaker than even a blake constructed shoe. Because once the fabric tears, the entire shoe will fall apart. This s**t is ridiculous.

DW is shite. Handwelting doesn't compare to decent goodyear welt so no pt wasting your time.

And when you say you are not looking for lower ranges that's not very helpful. DW "high" range at close to $1k doesn't compare to meermin and $300+ so pls look past the mktg speak and do a proper dollar to dollar value evaluation.

I'm not sure if the joke in this post is:
1) DW does 'Handwelting'
2) Handwelting is worst than GYW
3) The poster

.

Its just pure marketing bollocks

Just like how so many tailoring outfits are calling themselves bespoke now without regard to what the term has come to represent

Carmina loafer expert can help? Saw the uetam last string loafer in suede and another suede loafer tassel. The tassel loafer actually feels half size bigger than the one in uetam last although they are of the same size. Anyone knows the last of the suede tassel loafer? Many thanks

The most common carmina loafer lasts at present are simpson and uetam. For the string loafers they are usually in uetam last. penny and tassel could be in simpson last, although there are some available in uetam as well.

Older stock - Forest last tassel loafers.

Makes sense if he said they fit looser.

just to share...the loake 1880 Aldwych (dark brown) that I gotten from Pediwear just arrived and i am very satisfied with the fit. Think i have gotten quite a good deal for it at 154 pound with free shoe horn and Grenson Shoe Wax.

As I already have Saphir Renovataur but understand from some of the posts here that i shouldn't used it often. If i currently have a pair of black and dark brown shoes, should i get a Saphir Neutral Creme for general cleaning and conditioning or buy the specific colour? Thanks!

i always prefer to use the right colour cream and polish.
neutral when the leather is musuem calf or a colour which i don't have exact match for.
