Can i check what's the price for Vass' museum calf collection via direct online purchase?

I'm looking to purchase my first pair in U last.

Unfortunately, i understand Vass does not deal directly with customers from Singapore now so i'll have to pay a premium at KS.

Trying to access if the mark up is significant.

Thanks!

What's are the prices at KS? For normal calf/museum/cordovan? Then you can compare better before Vass prices change next month.

Just to confirm, You tried dealing with R at Vass and he told you no chance and to use KS?

Im curious as to how strict the changes are with the process

I asked if can order from them direct, they say new customer cannot, must use KS

I tried months back, and Rszso was able to help me with the order. I don't think they charge more for museum calf. Although I took grain.

How would those guys that owned Enzo and Vass rate it against each other? Which brand would you find it more comfortable based on the best last for your best fit?

pros and cons. fit wise, both have a HUGE range of lasts so I'm sure you can find something.

For me,

Vass is simply pure value (but not so sure how that will play out with KS here...). They offer alot of flexibility with free pattern changes which is good if you like to MTO unique stuff + CMT. Not to mention the Redenbach soles. However, their output isnt so consistent, which is where you hear stories about the infamous "vass charm" (wrong last, makeup etc). However they will cover all mistakes at their cost, you just have to wait.

Enzo's finishing is much more consistent and they can do that lovely chainstitching. Pattern changes can be abit strict and chargeable. Skoak told me that they dont do CMT but our friendly local dudes have convinced him to. So I'm sending my stuff to them for now as I intend to have the chainstitch originally.

Hi, anyone can advice on the sizing on EEA's loafers lasts? Does it fit true to size? Also, I had a pair of Meermin's loafers (UK8.5) in Ron last but was a tad too big for me. Any comparisons etc?

You should try the shoes in store. EEA shoes are not TTS for me.

I need to walk a fair bit sometimes and found a couple of options that are all rubber soled. National day discounts are going all around but I am having trouble making my first foray into leather soles for more formal situations.
Been to most shoe store brands except for those that generally price beyond 400 a pair and have trouble finding boots in US 12. Tried a few nice monk strap boots in robinsons but my feet are too wide to even past the mid section.
Are there any brands to keep in mind given my clown feet?

Is crossing over to JB worth any sort of discount or are the prices generally the same?

DIY cork insoles

Made some DIY cork insoles.
Cost: $2 from Daiso, large sheets 1.5mm thick, 2 sheets per pack.
Time: 1 hr (easy)

According to my research, cork has the following benefits:
1. Natural anti-microbial, anti-odor
2. Shock and vibration absorption
3. Conforms to the shape of yr foot, so it gets more comfy over time
4. Absorbs sweat
5. Eco- friendly. Cork comes from the bark of the cork tree, only the bark is harvested, then the tree is left alone to regrow the bark.

Tips: Daiso sells different types of cork sheets, make sure to get those labeled 100% cork.

Care to share a couple of pictures of the end-product? Thanks!
