Trying to grap a pair of Carmina Wholecut in Rain last before the BF sales end.
I wear UK7 for the Loake 1880 Aldwych. Can someone advice me what size should I get for the Carmina?
Thanks![]()

Here you go. Similar quality. Lower price. Rubber Dainite Sole. Presentable in office. No issues during rainy days. All shoes mentioned are goodyear welted. MilSpec wise on par. Take care of the shoes and it'll last longer than your saf pair.
bro, all these prices in GBP. convert back will be around $600+
These are £220 to £240.
You are using the exchange rate from the 1980s?

What are your thoughts on cordovan and calf leather?
I've always wanted to get a pair of cordovan loafers/slip-on for daily wear but can't bring myself to get them because of their price
Would you guys buy calf or cordovan if the shoes you want does come in cordovan?

Good ol' calf.
Got over my infatuation with shell lustre after seeing more and more pics of the rolls, plus reading some comments from shoemakers on SF that it's less than optimal for shoes
Pardon my ignorance but what's SF?
Less optimal for shoes, why is that so? Or is it hype that wants us to belief that cordovan is the best leather for shoes/wallets![]()
Frankly I think that dude is trolling.
These are £220 to £240.

I think is because cordovan don't crease as nicely as baby calf. So baby calf is more optimal. Read it somewhere before iirc, I might be wrong tho.Pardon my ignorance but what's SF?

if a pair of shoes cost 240 pounds, we are looking at $500 SGD, excluding tax and shipping fees?
If you would like to be conservative, can safely use 1GBP to 2SGD (the eventual actual rate is likely to be better, in your favour, in the current market), which translates to SGD480.
If your quoted price is before VAT deduction, you can expect to save an additional GBP40 (for a GBP240 pair).
Shipping charges vary but shouldn't cost you more than SGD60.
Singapore taxes i.e. 7% GST could apply on the declared value by the retailer. You may check out with the retailer upfront to get an idea.
