There are noticeable differences between the Aeris and Argentum lines.
In terms of construction (GYW vs AW), materials (less fastidious clicking of the uppers for the Aeris line), as well as finishing.
I would say the price difference is quite justified.

I agree with ThunderMarch. I think the difference in material is observable. The Argentum lasts are also a bit more varied and nicer (tho that’s completely subjective).

Thanks guys, had the Equites for a full day, I must say they are a solid pair of shoes. They fit well, looks great and l was not expecting the soft square to be this comfortable!

If you fit well into the Soft Square, I recommend trying out the Hawksbill, same size. It will fit you well also, and looks really nice.

You can try shopping around in departmental stores like Robinsons, Metro, Tangs and Taka etc. Ask for good year welt or Blake stitched construction. You should be able to buy from makes like Magnanni and Florence within your budget

Thanks for the reply! I ended up buying from WHY & CO online since they claimed to have fitting services available. Any more brands which I can KIV for next time? Current job requires me to stay outdoor a lot so the shoes are gonna take a tremendous beating.

what are the options to protect the stitching on the soles of the shoes?
easy way is to add a rubber sole to cover it up, but i don't really like the feel of rubber sole. and vibram sole at mister minit is so ex

Shouldn't need to worry so much because those stitches are probably lock stitches. You may consider closed channel shoes as well.

If you're looking to topy your shoes, i offer topying at $20 per pair. Check out my carousell page (@pulloutnow) for more details and feel free to chat if you have questions!

Initally chosen their brown wingtip oxford then end up change to brown plain toe derby haha. Their stiched collection is ready already I think. Just not on their website yet. Should be able to buy if you whatsapp them directly.

Hello gents, may I know if anyone heard of and owned Carlos Santos shoes? They seems to be around the same tier as Yanko and Loake (in terms of price point), with a high quality craftsmanship. Looking to purchase a pair or two for work and also casual wear.

Leather flaw in new Loake Aldwych, in the toecap area =((
(I know some flaws are to be expected at this price point, but imo there shouldnt be such an obvious defect in the most prominent part right?)
xo2rle.jpg

dunno if this can be polished over?
I emailed pediwear, contemplating returning.

Thank you for the info. May I know what's the difference between closed channel and open channel? And which is better? Thank you
