Arcfire, where did you order your Vass from?

What brands have you used?I had my fair share of local brand shoes. I giving up on them. They are not built to last and pricing is way too high for something of that quality.
I hope your EEA didn't fall apart! What do you not like about them?I tried two pairs of Marxb and a pair of Ed et al(worn once and it feels really bad) fifth series

Are Marxb shoes cemented? It might explain why they fell apart. The recommendation for quality shoes seem to veer towards welted shoes.

I think discounting your Marx B experience, you give should your EEA one more chance.Well I going to get it Vibram first. I wore it on carpet floor and the size fitting is atrocious. With that particular model I think I had to downgrade from usual UK7.5 for loake to 6.5. The comfort level is no where near to my loake1880. And its more exp than my loake.349*********
I think they are(Marxb) I wonder why do they priced so high or even higher when they are not even near to england made shoes.
I really thought of supporting local brands, but they are not for the idea of me supporting them by providing such quality shoes.

I have both Loake 1880s and EEA and I personally find that the EEA are the ones I favour despite having an atrocious break-in and a last that is a little too narrow for my liking.
The leather isn't soft by any means but feels thick and sturdy. The shoe seems to be better constructed IMO. QC overall looks better as well.
How long have you worn your EEAs? I've gone more than 2 months to break it in but aftet which found them to be delightful. Perhaps you might consider putting sole protectors on them after breaking them in more first?

LLYR Entry level are $297, while Ed are $349, correct? If u are willing to spend a bit more, get Loake 1880 range calf leather shoes online from robinsonshoes. Slightly more than $360 after discount and free delivery. The Loake leather are soft and ages well.
Ed previous collection creases badly. The current 6th collection still too new to be judged.
Keen to know if this method works too for meermin.First timer here, unable to try on a shoe prior to buying is scary.
Can I trace my feet, then email to robinson to get their opinion on the correct size to order? How to get discount? The current price is 179 pounds, coming up to just under S$400
Darn, I read that it was difficult to communicate with them in English. Did you purchase any in the end? I have wide feet and would like to find the size and last that will suit meSome SF users reported doing that in Meermin's earlier days successfully. You can try. But speaking as someone who has queried them earlier this year about sizing, the biggest stumbling block would be trying to decipher the google translated english.

To be honest not much meermin s on sale now, there's more carminas and loake, ae hahaTonnes of people selling meermin shoes locally on carousell, just look for the ones with your nike sneaker US size - 1 to get the UK size and try them out in person.
Pretty sure the seller wouldn't mind letting you do that, pretty sure you'll hit one pair that suits after trying out 5 pairs in person![]()
