How much u invest in your shoe? Any recommendation?
I've bought shoes from Herring as well. The reccomendations by the members here are sound and they are far more knowledgeable than I am.

Hi everyone, my MTM shoes cui after 5 years as can be seen in the pic. Can it still be repaired? Or time to dispose?

The insides starting to worn out and im thinking how to repair as i can feel the cushioning not that good as before.

Any tips or advices?

Alright, thanks for advice... why I asked is because previously when I bought the shoe, the person told me it can last for lifetime maybe? But looks like no matter how good the leather, the inside still cui as time goes by. I actually replaced the heel part a couple of times and also replaced the insole once. But the internal sides I suppose cant be fixed up?

Probably 5 years for a shoe this kind of quality and make?

How durable the shoe is, can also be dependent on the environment, how it is worn and taken care of...

The upper leather still look ok not a lot of scratches and tears. Just that my feet felt rough when walking. Maybe need to touch up the insides. If too costly then maybe its time up liao.

My shoes are MTM that cost $500+

Probably caught quite a bit of rain that caused the insides to cui? Or just wear and tear.

if you want to have the "spongy" feel, you can always purchase a soft insole and slip it into the shoes. do take into account that you'll probably have to size up after adding the insole.

insole can definitely replace. the inner leather lining can also be replaced, especially at the heel area

Ahhh ok. Insole has been replaced once. The cobbler did not replace the entire insole. So the front part near to my toes part actually can see leather peeled off inside. The cobbler i went to get the insole fixed and heel replaced was not cheap.

I will get the inner lining replaced the next time and see how it goes. Thanks.

Also if you are wearing the same pair everyday do not expect it to last for a few years.
