Hi guys, finally after 2-3 years my Aldo shoe is wearing off. I am on the hunt for a shoe replacement, i felt i like wing style brogues. Any budget recommendation on Goodyear Welted shoes.

I do travel to like Thailand and Indonesia occasionally, is it better to look for shoe maker there?

For entry-level goodyear-welted shoes, I'd probably do Yanko from Seamless Bespoke, or Lof & Tung from Skoaktiebolaget.

Not sure about Thailand. There is an Indo maker I am eyeing but definitely not entry-level price range :)

Thanks bro, what is a usual cost of a goodyear welted shoes roughly? I saw a pair of Herring GoSport Brogues about 200 inclusive of shipping. Good value?

They range greatly, but the ones I mentioned are 400+ (which really is on the low, low side in the world of quality shoes)

No experience with that brand, sorry. I'd personally be wary of deals that seem too good.

Herring shoes (the made in UK ones, OEM by Barker, etc...) on sale are usually the best value GYW shoes. The GoSPort Brogues are made in India (thus the cheap price).

Herrings brand is not bad for UK made GYW shoes. trashed most brands of similar prices in SG departmental stores.

thanks guys for the sharing. Most likely will get the GoSPort Brogues, feels that low chance for error in view if branding. I was actually also looking at shoe maker Tahura Boots Company, but a bit of risk as shoe making can be a bit of like and hate.

I saw something like this which looks really beautiful.

Chruch's not that worth at that price point unless can get them at a good discount. Why not consider C&G Handgrade?
Agree.
EG and JL are at another league, even their price range.
Even I got promoted twice I still cant afford a pair though...

I'm at bicester village and went to the Church's outlet shop to have a look. Even at outlet price, all start from 700sgd
