You can try the cobbler in International Plaza, located just besides Burger King. Put on my soles and heels with Vibram for $48.

Hmm, can someone help me out?

Im currently wearing a size 40 aldo, there is heel slip on my left feet and perfectly fine on my right.

Im looking at crockett and jones savile at the moment from plal, may i know what size should i get it? Its a shame that plal dont allow return for misfit size or this will be easier.

is it worth it putting topys/vibram onto leather soles? i have been reading all around but still can't make up my mind.

if i were to do so, should I do it before even wearing for the first time, or after wearing & walking around in them for a while?

*anyway, how does vibram look like, or differentiate itself from the other normal soles?

i share the same problem with you.. troubled. Leather shoe soles really very easy to faceplant the floor on the normal carpet in office.

You really need to find some way to try the shoe out. Don't take the chance with dress shoes, not worth it. Just look at the amount of BNIB shoes for sale :(

I think it's more a matter of function than it is a matter of worth? If you walk around in leather soles, it'll feel too slippery on a lot of surfaces. It's dangerous.

You can topy it right away. The cobbler will scuff the bottom to make sure the new vibram/sole adheres nicely.

I believe there are 2 main brands in the market, Vibram and Topy.

Vibram is quite obvious, they have the logo on it. Make sure you get those that are manufacture in Italy, they are more durable!

I always 'vibram' my shoes before I wear, when it is new. But I prefer Continental, very very good rubber. They are the ones which did the tyres fitted on Porsche. When you wanna put rubbber soles, ask for Continental.

I on the other hand is indifferent to the brand of rubber sole, but driven by what color is available. E.g. Vibram does blue for Mantellassi, so go with Vibram.
