Was actually looking at the burford but then saw the bedale which seem more suitable for me. Cuz I am looking for a pair of shoes to wear during wet weather. Something cheap that I don't mind damaging as well...

Nice boots... I now have a thing for Suede shoes... All shoes I am going to purchase will be made from Suede... Don't think suede shoes have much love here..

kinda disappointed with my meermin shoes. took these pics at the end of the first day wearing them..

the front as well. quite a pronounced ridge has formed. note that these shoes were worn for only about 10 hours.

any suggestions on how to make these go away? the right side is more affected than the left btw..

Just got a pair of tod's leather gominos...kind of new to leather shoes.

Do I need a shoe-tree? Also...do I need to polish it to keep it from drying/cracking up? If so, how often and what polish/cream to use for brown leather?

The photo seems to show that the ridge maybe caused by the arch of your feet overstretching the leather due to bad fit but I can't be too sure.

Yes, get a tree. Polishing is up to you. I do it once every 2-3months.

Saphir cream is like god's fecal matter when he is on a fibre diet, Saphir wax is like god's fecal matter when he has constipation and Saphir Renovateur is like god jizzed in a jar put it on a little silver tray and hand delivered it to us.

Colored. Neutral cream has natural solvents that may damage finishing if used on a virgin pair of shoes that hasn't been polished.

Neutral wax on the other hand tends to give the creases lighter gloss so it is up to personal preference.

Hi kiton, if I'm getting coloured cream, does the colour of the cream I choose have to be very accurate? Cos I'm not sure what is the type of brown my shoes have. And is there any advantage of coloured wax over neutral wax? Thanks

Try to get as close as possible. If not the cream will actually affect and change the color of the shoe.

Use the color charts to help you with choosing.

Colored wax always gives a shine that is the same as your shoe's base color.

Neutral wax actually give your shoe a darker shine than it's natural color which makes creases look more prominent when the wax cracks on your crease.
