Sorry for my ignorance.

I just bought a pair of herring shoes. Its my first pair of dress shoes.

So i'm wondering what does 1 normally do. Paste a non slip rubber "sheet" on the soles to counter the slippery sole or is there a better solution?

If you're talking about wet weather, I have no solutions.

If your concern is regular slip during dry weather, they will become less slippery as the soles get worn (from the scratches). I am however assuming here, that you are talking about leather soled shoes. Vibram ones don't really have slip issues.

That what the salespeople always tell me,
but I don't feel much difference after wearing a few weeks

I would like to know too. I'm currently wearing a pair of Church's shoes of size 7.5 G, and would like to know if this applies to Herring & Loake as well. Anyone can advise?
