IMO, if you are talking about Herring and Loake, only their Premier and 1880 range respectively are worth buying.

Even then, I will buy from Edetal going forward. The current collection is really nice. The fit is more suitable for Asian feet too.

My Herring shoes just somehow don't feel perfect, and we are talking about half sizes here. Whereas my Edetal first generation feels really comfortable.

Edwin has Saphir products but in limited color. They only have black/dark brown/ burgundy/ neutral.

Yea lor. Here retailer mark up so much. That's why stuff without warranty I've been buying online already. 1 aldo shoes here 169/179 can buy 2 pairs lor.

Agree. Mark-ups are high here. Even Ed et Al shoes I don't think are worth the price of $300, especially considering the location of the shop and the leather quality. A price of around $220 is more reflective of its fair value. The old collection was unimpressive, the new ones are nicer in design but leather still crease and scuff quite easily.

I see lots of recommendation of cedar wood shoe trees.
Does unpolished lotus wood do the same job?

Anything that fills up the shoe properly can do the job. Unpolished Cedarwood is just traditionally used as it also has properties to absorb smell and inhibit fungal growth and to some extent repel insects.

I've got the Herring's Knightsbridge.

Feels good wearing it, though the sole bothers me abit whenever I take off the shoe as my socks will get caught with it.

Besides that, not much a problem.

Basically feels good and looks good!

which version you got? black polished or dark brown calf? i am contemplating these two during the clearance sale.
