Yes penny loafers. U can slot a penny under the strip of leather across the vamp which is how the name was derived
There's a line at the toe cap area there. I've seen some with or without the line. Is there a difference?
i think it's 18-20%. U can simulate a check out to verify?Does anyone know the VAT deduction % if you buy from Meermin?
Seems better to ship to Singapore than to have someone pick up in Spain (& incur VAT).

What's the damage? They will just patch up that spot for that particular shoe or re-dye both shoes?
Do share pic after the repair!
That 'line' is there on 'split toe' constructed shoes. So there are penny loafers and split toe penny loafers (and split toe other shoes as well).
I only know the name, never read up more on advantages, purpose of split toe construction. Other bros feel free to educate us.
Received SMS to say My LWB is ready for collection. Must say I am impressed with the colour matching they have performed for me. The leather grain is shown unlike previously the lady said might be covered up. She did say can polish again but use creame polish instead of rejuventor to avoid dye coming off. I intend to waterproof it using nano protector......

Sorry for the crappy image
Thanks guys, i tried the opening an account and ordering. It works out to 21% VAT.
So there is a big chunk off.
Has anyone bought the LM range before? How is it?
Think it's only design/look, don't think it has any impact on the shoe construction, at least I don't feel anything different while wearing them... I'll like to be enlightened too...
Think they did a great job for the cost they charged![]()
Did they dyed it or was it painted over?
How do you derive 21%?
Anyone here use insoles for dress shoes? To cushion the heel, not to increase height.
Seeking recommendations for thinner types to look out for and where to get them.
Apparently they mentioned dye....

looks like acrylic paint to me. to test paint or dye very easy use a bit of acetone (nail polisher remover) to rub off. paint will come off very easily and dye will take a long time to rub off
regardless the color blends well with the surrounding. what is the damage?
next time just be very gentle on that particular area to play safe.
