will Saphir be able to improve the shine of the shoe? do i just use a cloth with water and polish with Saphir?

Yes of course saphir pate de luxe (wax) will be able to help you with that

so do i just dab abit of saphir and apply it on the shoe and polishing it straight away with water? polish in a circular motion?

Difficult meh? I wearing red wing boots now. quite easy to put on. when i was in army, ocs and recce course train me to wear my boots in a couple of seconds . not very difficult. and boots are very comfortable after break in

Not bad. I tried a few of them, although I no longer add the rubber onto my leather shoes.

Slippery as hell. But I prefer the sound of leather hitting the floor than rubber.

Do you know if the cream/wax sold by Mr Mint are effective for leather shoes? Just wore my pair of shoes and there are crease marks at the front of the shoes. heartache

They are fine. The creases in shoes are inevitable (especially at around the area where the toes flex as you walk). However, creases in other parts of the shoes are normally a result of the type (or quality) of leather used. My 2cents.

Just nourish, clean and shine your shoes once a while. They will look better, no matter how they look before you start.

Nourish, using cream, is like applying moisturiser to the leather.

Shine, using wax, is making the leather really shiny.

I would not recommend wiping leather shoes with a wet cloth. It tends to be too wet.

I would just brush dust and dirt off using a horsehair brush.

If your around the CBD area, try SOLE-MANN at 11 Collyer Quay (The Arcade) or One Raffles Place. I find their jobs to be of a higher standard as compared to others within the industry.

A damp, not wet, cloth can be a substitute. Although for dusting out hard to reach areas, the horsehair brush is still the way to go.

Nourish = substance penetrates the leather and nourishes the fibres
Shine = a top layer that sits on top of the leather, acting like a protective barrier against grim/dirt/rain, while providing the sheen
