I just ordered a Xiaomi 13 Ultra 16 + 512 phone for $1025 after vouchers. Hope to take better photos to keep good memories.

Congrats on getting flagship HP.

But the qns is due to the curved screen, will you be getting uv glass (glue) tempered screen protector? I have read that when others try to take it out, it spolits their HP screen.

I was just waiting for the price to drop to around $1k

I remember Xiaomi always had a default screen protector on it. I won't be replacing it if there is no better one around.

For my K50 Ultra, I am still using the default screen protector.

i read Global HyperOS will be available for 13 Ultra & some models. is upgrade HyperOS mandatory or we can opt to stay with MIUI?

Eventually, we will have to update if we still want the OS support and security updates. There is a small risk that something will break when the OS gets updated.

SG Mi Store having discount at $1599 for 12/512 for 13U, RRP was $1899. Same price as 13 Pro 12/256. Is chop carrot price.

Mine is also going very strong. I haven't ditched it.

It will be my backup phone in case the 13 Ultra is faulty or if I need a 2nd phone with an overseas SIM card when I go overseas.

Perhaps it is just a realisation that I'm getting old and my memory is starting to fade. Good photos and videos are useful when I look back at my life journey.

For those thinking of buying China 13 Ultra and installing EU ROM will need to rethink. Gpay fix will not work with SingPass and some banking apps (UOB, Citibank etc.) even with Magisk Delta.

Use Magisk Hide and add Gpay, Wallet and SingPass to the list, and no issue after that.

Just update to HyperOS weekly instead, so far so good except for white notification icon and need to set hidden SMS permission for GMS for Gpay to work.
