I would like to but since I am gifting it, I cannot open it ;)

I hope the next Ultra keeps the 1" sensor and variable aperture.

Again, I will wait for a big discount before buying, so that shifts the timeline to 11.11 or Black Friday of 2024.

My gift just got rejected. I did not know Xiaomi's brand is still not very popular and carries the stigma of budget phones. I guess I will just keep it and use it myself :ROFLMAO:
Wa I Thot only courtesy to accept, though reject is better than seling or regifting the phone to other ppl. :(

Unfortunately, generally Chinese phones except for Huawei are still not very accepted as good phones here.

I would still prefer Huawei phones than Xiaomi for the better OS, camera software and overall design. The only issue is the Google cloud access for my work.

They don't know what they are missing.

Friends and family who had used Xiaomi or Poco now just buy back the same newer models cuz really value for money.

Even for folks who can afford the atas phones..they say..why spend more when this Xiaomi can outperform the fruit phone.

Transfer app will have problem with some apps. I think like singpass, certain banking apps etc. They will have errors.

Xiaomi to xiaomi just use mimover. Samsung to xiaomi can try samsung smart switch if mimover dun work properly.

Just a quick review on it compared to my K50 Ultra.

As a phone, it is almost identical except that it it is slightly slimer and easier to grip.

For the cameras, they are able to autofocus a lot faster and much more accurate even in a dim environment.

For those who like travelling, there is no history timeline and e-sim, although the photos and videos provide the location information.

So one is really paying more than double mainly just for the better cameras.

For day to day normal usage, phone with flagship processor within last 3-4 years will almost perform similar even more so when they share the same UI. 13U has LTPO, faster processor especially for gaming, wireless charging, more fluid in cameras not just autofocusing. Double the price worth it or not depends on the users need.

it's always battery that gave up first. my redmi usually last about 2 years, don't bother to change battery since better to replace new redmi

Hi! Just wanna ask if 13 Ultra is still a good buy now? I am concern with photos and videos. Are the ones produce from 13 Ultra good? I used S23 Ultra before and love the video for concerts especially.

If you can get a China ROM set for around $1k, it is a very good deal.

The camera's autofocus is very fast and that makes photography a breeze.

I used it on my recent JB trip to take a lot of nice photos and some videos.

For those with WhatsApp contacts missing the names. The fix is below cut and paste from another forum. It works for me.

1. Open WhatsApp and tap on New Chat Icon located at the bottom right corner of your screen.

2. On the next screen, tap on the 3-dots Menu icon located at the top right corner of your screen.

3. From the menu that appears, tap on the Refresh option

This will Refresh your WhatsApp Contacts list and if this fix has worked, you should now be able to see WhatsApp displaying Contact Names.
