Hi All

found that my speed test result on xiaomi box using Lan cable is slower than WIFI... 20Mbps vs 45Mbps, any1 know why?
setting?
i am using starhub 100Mbps cable...tried the same Lan on my laptop, its 95+Mbps...

my xiaomi 2 is tied to "peng.peggy@yahoo.com". i want to change to "pp2@ipdvd.tv".

i had uninstalled and re-installed cloudtv but "peng.peggy@yahoo.com" is still there.

do anyone know how to change?

I think it is tie to ip or mac address bit maybe wrong. If no harm just factory reset the mibox, install the cloudtv and check about

My xbmc think got problem... got sound no display try it for acestream, sopcast, youtube and the respos all the same. Even uninstall and install still same, i try under setting to change the video rendering to software also same. Anyone got a clue what is wrong with it?

When u switch from h/w to s/w did u unclick all 3? Make sure u uncheck all 3 under video expert/advance mode. I assume u r running Gotham. Else install mx player reboot n try again.

I am running xbmc Gotham on my mibox2 no issue with s/w accel. Saw ur post on the iptv thread but reply here more appropriate

1) If I buy the box 2, I can install cloudtv and watch cctv5 with sports matches and world cup?

2) Is jailbreak needed to watch world cup? am thinking of purchasing it from qoo10 and the seller claims that jailbreak then can watch cctv5.

No such thing as jailbreak but the ability to install 3party apks is limited in Mibox 2 iirc u need software like shuanme to install 3party software.

For mibox 2 pro much straight forward as the UI allows u to click the 3party apks installation permission.

1) Yes you can. I am using the same setup. Mibox2 with CloudTV

2) No, you do not need jailbreak. Mine is stock Mibox2.

No such thing as jailbreak but the ability to install 3party apks is limited in Mibox 2 iirc u need software like shuanme to install 3party software.....

Or u can use OTG cable and install via thumbdrive

also can use remote install from your PC:

第一步：打开小米盒子，找到设置选项，选择系统设置，将系统升级到最新。
在应用栏目下，找到应用商店，进入后可以看到远程安装的选项
第二步：打开远程安装，获取可以输入在浏览器内的ip地址

第三步：打开浏览器，输入上一步骤获取的ip地址，根据提示安装软件。

Yesterday night tried using the box to watch CCTV5 world cup live on Dian Shi Mao App. Bought from Qoo10 and collected from Sim Lim Square level 6. Overall is watchable, only some short lags at time and of course it is in mandarin.

if you are using hardware decoding, have to untick mediacodec.

Okay okay thanks! Btw i found out that the mibox 2 pro can be a wifi hotspot song dah more reason to bring this little box out for holiday haha.
