how to install mango TV?

I didn't install mango TV.
I use VST全聚合2.5, some of the shows have mango TV as one of the source.

For a show, it may have 1 or multiple sources to choose from. These are my experience so far.

LeTV and MangoTV only start buffering then very smooth playback all the way

腾讯 very fast but the lowest quality

Youku and iQiYi are slower than LeTV and MangoTV with occasional buffering while watching. Still very watchable. Performance very confusing because some shows are very smooth, some shows are buffering occasionally

Sohu, PPTV source totally can't connect

Generally, can watch many shows without much problem, but wish to ask if can improve the speed further as some shows only have youku and iqiyi as the source.
Is there anything to install to help to improve the speed of youku iqiyi? Or can even connect to sohu or pptv?

I think by buying VPN will be able to watch icntv and youku etc..
The problem is how to use Astrill VPN on xiaomi box, is it through an app?

i understand, but isn't 200mbps would provide me an more stable connection during bad connections? e.g 100mbps im buffering at 200kb/sec, but 200mbps may give me 300-400kb/sec?

but i dunno whether xiaomi can support USB 3.0 gigabyte network or not

I bought a USB to RJ port for gigabyte, using on singtel fibre & still only streaming around less than 250kb/s when using xiaomi tv box wired speed test.

I'm actually looking for those for toddler cartoons as well as mainly Taiwan news, shows & dramas.

Sohu and PPTV think only watchable in china.

Change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 can improve the speed (after all a Ferrari cannot perform on a 50km/hr limit road. the link between sg and cn is bad)

if buy VPN to watch ICNTV is not worth. ICNTV consist mainly show in china with good resolution. most good movie need to paid.

from what i know is the VPN will be install and have an icon on the main page and what you need to go into the icon and enable it and that all.

unless you using different type of VPN where you need to go into tv box system and manual config the VPN. this type of VPN is very mafan as you need to go inside the system to manually enable it every power up.

buy non-root version and save a bit. rooting is pretty simple unless you really got no confidence.

after rooting can download any apk you like.

the firmware must be below 1.3.53. 1.3.53 version unable to root.

install hdpTV, and then go to channel management and add in the user contributed channels. It has most of the channels you want.

mangoTV is part of himedia player. The easiest way to use mangotv is to buy one himedia player. But if you are a hacker you can install it on any player.

of course can la. root is having system right edit the system function or control how you want the system to run if you have the knowledge.

remember to buy Enhanced version

as mention in my earlier post.
"root is having system right edit the system function or control how you want the system to run if you have the knowledge".

if you not too sure, better google it 1st before DIY yourself as there might be chance that it brick your tv box.

without root, you still can download and install application. root is just the extra function/right to change system function, if you know how.

小米盒子设置〉select & enter your wifi name > 无线网络 〉select and enter your wifi name again > 手动设置 change from 关闭 to 开启 〉go to DNS服务器 and change to 8.8.8.8

finish, go back twice till you see 网络测速 to test the speed.
you can try before and after change the DNS and see if it got improve. (test at least 3 times to check consistency)
