How do I install to external sdcard? My internal already full Le zzzz
Hi all, i just bought a Mibox. I have installed some of the apps. Many apps needs a mouse pointer. XBMC also need a pointer or else some spot cannot b selected. Many apps are useless without a mouse pointer
anyone have any idea how to connect a bluetooth mouse to the mibox? i seen in this video that mibox mini can connect to a mouse, at minute 1.35:
( i cant post link, so just search "Xiaomi Mi Box Mini review" in youtube)
Best is if my phone can connect via bluetooth as mouse, can save money and hustle of buying a mouse
micro sd card slot is there so plug n play?
Unless you want to change sd card as primary storage.
If I remember correctly, you need to activate developer options then from developer options you'll see in the storage section to use sd card as primary storage.
You'll need to format your sd card as FAT32 first.
Seems to work when I installed a large size game which didn't work without the SD card.
If you want to learn more, search for app2sd and link2sd, lots of information about those online.
Rather than get a Bluetooth mouse, better to get a Bluetooth keyboard with trackpad like the Logitech K400.
Works perfect on the Mi box - makes it easier to type.
Thanks for the information. I managed to enable the developer options but I do not see any storage section in Developer option for me to set the default storage. Any idea what's wrong?
Sorry I forgot to mention that its a Mibox mini. U know if this will work as well?

if you need mouse/keyboard, mibox mini is a wrong choice. you can only use expensive bluetooth mouse/keyboard. although the box is slightly cheaper, the final cost is much higher
Better stick to mibox 3.
Thanks . I have bought the mibox mini. didnt anticipate this problem . it got paired and connected to my bluetooth mouse, but no cursor out. even redmi note can work on the mouse. i am now a very dissappointed mibox mini user.
Thanks Asriznet for your reply too
I think the mi box mini is a decent device for streaming contents using apps that are made for an android TV box - maybe for use at hotels while on trips.
For other heavy usage like gaming is probably not a good idea.
Most of the apps that don't work well and requires a mouse usually because it's using Android mobile/tablet interface.
Do update us how the performance is like on the mi box mini. 1 thing I like it over the older mi box is the remote control, I believe it's using Bluetooth instead of infra-red.
i got my BT mouse to work (after changing Toshiba to Logitech).
My other problem is keyboard. If go Youtube, the Android keyboard do not automatically appear.
Btw, today got one Mibox update. after the update, it appears the google play and google setting is not able to work anymore. it appears to be blocked
I just got mine unadulterated one from Qoo10, arrived within 2 daysshall set up after work tonight.
I'll pm you once I reach home.could you also share the seller name to me???
Will like to buy one without the modding. Thanks
Lazada seller still selling them - (EXPORT) XiaoMi Mi Box 3 Quad Core Android 4.4 Smart TV 4K HD Box | Lazada Singapore
Latest Mi Box model(stock set)
They have been increasing the price slightly because of the demand I'm guessing. Was $85 back in December.
I bought from that seller on 19/2 and it arrived yesterday 2/3. It's the real deal, Mi Box 3 with 1GB ram. It comes with only the stock OS and launcher plus a few pre-installed apps, barely anything on it. Note that it is completely in Chinese.Hi asriznet,
Is this vendor a reliable one that sells the real Mibox (not fakes)? Do they help us to load in the popular apps so that we can start streaming videos once we get it? Sorry for the questions, been trying to look for a decent vendor to get a android box but not sure which one to get as I heard got fake Mibox in market. Don't have to be the cheapest but reliable is more important.

You can easily copy apks linked by the bros here onto a thumb drive and install onto the Mi Box 3, then start using those apps to stream.
