Need to use mi unlock tools also.
unlock from phone then load into fastboot plug usb in use me unlock tools to unlock then wait 7 days.

But I read that Eu ROM need to update manually. Also the seller is offering to flash to global ROM. I hope his global ROM does not mean Eu ROM though..

Yes EU rom need manual update

There are 2 types of global rom
1 is under EU and 1 is the standard global which i haven heard before yet
I think ur seller mayb flash to the EU global rom

Almost all the apps I wanna use, can use. And majority of the stock china apps also can remove, less the factory apps.

Just grab the 512gb the price like 50bucks difference. Don't bother with local distributor anymore. Chips shortage is affecting global set release.

edit: Don't have to root phone. only unlock bootloader and flash xiaomi eu rom.
CN rom works fine if u not using netflix, disney +, so far i cannot unlock and flash as my personal pc send in for repair.

Google Assistant is working, but I can't get it running in background as in when I says "Ok Google", it's not being activated. Not sure what I configured wrongly.

Google pay is working.

Have not tried Chromecast yet.

Netflix, Disney+ are both working fine, so far haven't encounter any problem. Just that the apps are not found in Play store. I have to install from APK files.

Also no issues for my work related apps like Microsoft offices, intune portal.
