Yes. This phone is slow. Otherwise is a good design and size for day to day use.

Hi all,

Any suggestions on a suitable phone to replace mi4i? I like the size so hope to get something similar but not as laggy.

Redmi 3S is comparable in size without the lag and the for the price, you won't feel the pinch. Also with that battery, it'll last you easily 2 days.

Thanks eviler.

It seems that Xiaomi no longer sells phones on their website? It has been a while since I last visited.

Anybody knows where is the official sales channel? I want to avoid getting an export set.

Is Hachi by Challenger okay to buy from?

https://www.hachi.tech/product/6954176829450/Xiaomi-Redmi-3S-32GB-LTE-DS-Grey-MZB5102EN

I saw so many sellers at Lazada. Most seem to be export sets from overseas.
Xiaomi already has an official store here opened last month. Located at 3 Temasek Boulevard, Suntec City Mall, #02 – 337-340, Singapore 038983.

All sets sold there comes with local warranty and also freebies.

Not really ... mi series is a notch higher than Redmi

It depend on when it was released. Mi4i is much older and on old CPU. Also it has over heat issue from design. Subsequent firmware under clock it to fix heat issue and hence phone is quite slow compared to Redmi 3s which is a more recent phone.

MIUI Global Stable ROM V8.1.5.0.LXIMIDI & VOLTE

1. Miui V8.1.5.0.LXIMIDI
Anyone managed to update OTA using Updater app? Almost a month since release but no joy when checking through Updater.

Details and Changelog here:http://en.miui.com/thread-445315-1-1.html

2.Voice Over LTE
Must this be supported by BOTH the telco and phone model?

India is clamouring for a MIUI update to enable VoLTE on Mi4i, but M1 and SingTel explicitly state the phones which are compatible, so it seems that the telco must also support the particular phone model.

Starhub only requires a compatible phone and doesn't state phone models, but no point clarifying with them since many of the service staff are now clueless or simply whack an incorrect/irrelevant response...

Starhub (HD Voice+): http://www.starhub.com/personal/support/mobile/network/hd-voice-plus-faq.html
Singtel (4G ClearVoice): https://www.singtel.com/personal/i/4g/service-features
M1 (4G Voice): https://www.m1.com.sg/Personal/FAQ/Add-Ons/4GVoice

Hi guys,

My Mi4i suddenly can only use one SIM card.

I tested and found that both slots are working. But the phone can only have one connection either slot 1 or 2.

Can anyone have this problem? How to rectify? Thank you.
