New firmware? As in out of the box and OTA which is 6.5.3?
I do feel heat build up is faster than other fon

Last night got new firmware. So far from my observation battery drain slower liao. Previously fully charge on stand by over the night drop 15%.After update drop 5%.

Heat seems better but need to confirm again.

i am having this issue with mipad too
when typing in hwz forums, the keypad would randomly disappear
very frustrating

and flippers can consider flipping prata instead!

Hard to flip now... People have so many alternatives eg asus zenfone 2, or spend a bit more buy Htc butterfly 2

it should be on the phone's back cover when you first bought it.
you can tear it away but keep it in a safe place for warranty purposes.

You means trade in at $50. I Think this is more likely the case. I tried to sell my Redmi at those 2nd hand hand phone shop. They told me no value and not taking in.

My take on the phone so far after 1 week:
So far so good no issues with all my apps (apart from not knowing to enable auto start for line). Batt life seems quite good; only lose about 2-3% overnight. It was only slightly heated when I first used the phone while installing all my apps back, after that it seems pretty OK to me.

Some pros as compared to my S4:
1. Much better visibility on screen under sunlight
2. Better batt life with all the same apps (i think partly because its a new phone)

Cons:
1. Still trying to get used to the miui since it can't be disabled


Question: how do I enable multi tab in chrome? I am able to jump from tab to tab when I was using s4 but seems that on mi4i it doesn't allow me to do that

The original browser got a "+" that's the function to add tab.

It might be because you have the merge tabs and apps turned on in Chrome's settings. Turn it off and the behaviour should go back to the way you were familiar with.

FYI, if you are not used to miui, you can install a launcher like Nova Launcher to have the usual android home screen and separate app drawer

Due to current "bugs", you can't install google now launcher or even nova launcher. Just try it out and use for a few hours..
