Sprint has LTE B41 which is compatible with Mi5 ....
Also, most US MNO have HSPA+ which will give decent data speed (Mi5 supported frequencies).

It depend on which state you visit in USA?
You can get the information here actually. My experiance is it is not working. Have you try it up?

I have not made any trips to US with the mi5 yet, will update this thread when I get the opportunity....
Prev trips I used 3G/HSPA+ on AT&T and T-mobile with no problems (not mi5)

Any idea on how to install Google play store on mi5 properly? Not only the apps installed but the contacts must sync.. Please advice. Thanks

Sent from Xiaomi REDMI NOTE 3 using GAGT

after using the installer, try also installing gmail.

somehow it works for me after i gave up on contacts syncing (that is before installing gmail).

after i install gmail, it woks. somehow or another lah.

Hi guys,

I just bought redmi note 3 but I'm thinking of returning it back and upgrading to mi5.

But is it REALLY worth the upgrade since I'm looking at around 700 SGD for mi5 while note 3 only costs 300 ?

Rmn3 to Mi5, I'd say it's a worthy upgrade if you are particular about camera performance. It all depends what you prioritize in a phone. But for 700, you're better off topping up for S7 or S7 Edge instead... :)
