Bought 1 from smartcell and came with global rom. Ordered another 1 from NSE came with china rom, so troublesome to flash. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Ya, need to unlock bootloader to flash gapps.

No gapps installed. Got to install gapps separately...

That could be on a a tempered rom where there will not be any ota updates.

Or they installed gapps for you but if you factory reset your phone you have to install gapps yourself.

Took me 4 hours to flash to a custom rom lol. Alot of troubleshooting and googling involved. But well worth it. CM13 running smoothly without a hint of lag.

Applying for unlocking bootloader was less of a hassle than I thought. Applied on Saturday, unlock sms came on Tuesday 8am.

Hmm I'm not sure because I have not used android pay before. Maybe you can try googling it.

I went for CM13 over CM14 because it's more stable, so far everything is super smooth and i haven't had any bugs yet.

If I not wrong, all Xiaomi flagship phones no expandable memory.
Mi5, mi5s, mi5s+, mi note 2 and mi mix all no expandable memory.

The miui forum say there's way to enter edl mode to flash the device. No need unlock bootloader.
