This phone's battery capacity and price really makes it attractive to own one. But thinking is it worth it? Comparing between this and LG V20 and OPPO R9s

Don't bother with R9S. A phone with 625 shouldn't cost > $400 when you can just get Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime for < $200.

my rooted mi max drain batt dam fast. i think is due to the dual sim network running.

have you installed wakelock detector?
it helps you to monitor which app is the cause of battery drain.

anyway i am trying to get used to without google.
any app i want, just get the apk online.

Agreed!:s22:

Oppo and Vivo are overly high-priced phones with mid-range specifications!

A mid-range SD652/653 powered R9s/Plus selling at more than S$800+ RRP! Gosh!

For S$800+, I can buy 4x SD652 powered Mi Max 3/32!

To me, they chop carrot heads with their pricing! :(
Bro, 3/32 don't have 4*SD652 lah, only 2*SD652.

And yes, I supported you on the other continent. Haha. Must raise awareness on the issue so that it gets resolved!

LG V20 specs and screen resolution are definitely much better, if budget permit, go for it. Oppo R9s specs are almost same same Max, maybe just better camera. Even CN people don't like Oppo and Vivo as they said those phones are low specs high price. If want a higher end CN phone, try Huawei Mate 9 or P9 Plus.

Very true. I see their advertisements for tv shows. But even then I hardly see anybody buying their phones. Yet those tech sites in China say that they sell more than Xiaomi.
Then I noticed someone commented that those figures were not audited and the tech sites were bribed by massive advertising dollars. Knowing how China works, I believe that to be true.
Xiaomi tried to control costs by minimizing advertising and pass the savings to the buyers. This strategy is a threat to the revenues of the tech sites so they ganged up against Xiaomi so there's an unspoken attack on Xiaomi called "黑小米".

So phones from OV are praised and given high marks but the same things from Xiaomi are always called negatives. Not that the western tech sites don't do that ( Tomshardware and Anandtech etc), but the Chinese sites don't even bother to conceal their bias from their comments. That's the sign of a society used to military backed government...grab power and use it for profits.

OP and VI uses resellers at third and fourth tier cities in CN for greater outreach, which Xiaomi didn't do that. Hence the numbers of volume they had, and can easily manipulated.

Anyone is facing charging problem for 8.1.6?
My phone battery doesnt increase during charge when using.
From 10 percent to 100 percent take more than 10 hrs.

My phone has gone through hardship( uncountable drops, motorcycle crash, van & motorcycle drove pass) so i do not know the hardware is damaged or is it due to software.
