After downloading the recovery package update fail. I select the zip file, system run "get info" then fail with the following message
Cannot verify update
From is in beta testing, make sure you signed in with a beta authorized xiaomi account

Ahh?

It is either you have downloaded the wrong file (Stable or Beta) coz it cannot be cross update between Stable and Beta.

Could you double check the downloaded file again? Which link did you download the zip file.

From my observation, 8.2.3 isn't a good rom by any means, be it Global, China or China based eu rom.

8.2.2 was rock solid and snappy. That's why I rolled back to eu 8.2.2 from eu 8.2.3 (China based).

Let's hope the new 8.2.4 is a real good one. :)

BTW, Mi Max Prime hasn't gotten the Global 8.2.4 yet. It's still stuck at 8.2.1. Damn slow for global users. :(

Actually 8.2.1 is best. 8.2.2 and 8.2.3 has bugs and whatsapp msg get delayed. Just gotten 8.2.4 via ota. Seem whatsapp issue resolved.

Yes I downloaded the stable recovery zip through PC and hand phone many times but still prompt the same message. Tried ota still no update for me. Current version is 8.2.3.0 stable

Strange indeed.

It should not be. It is a simple and straightforward full proved procedure.

Beta tester account prompted? You should be a beta tester wah..

I see. :)

Strangely, I have never had WhatsApp delay issue.

I always believe that this setting should be switched to OFF from the default ON from day one.

I had upgraded my firmware previously using this method when my ota don't work. This time it is not working. Maybe the link provided is the beta version. I am not beta tester. Just a user that bought the local set

It is very likely that you have downloaded the wrong file from the wrong link.

Show me the link here.

Correct link. :)

This is the correct Recovery rom to download:

http://bigota.d.miui.com/V8.2.4.0.MBCMIDL/miui_MIMAXGlobal_V8.2.4.0.MBCMIDL_56afc5e128_6.0.zip :s22:

Download to PC. Copy it to the Download folder of Mi Max.

> Choose Update Package
Was the same file I downloaded. Anyway tried again using your posted link but same problem. It seems that I need to turn the wifi otherwise cannot update. With the wifi on it start to run `get info`, then it fail with the message that require the beta authorized signed in xiaomi account

Hmmm... I also blur now...

Can you first, switch off the Find my device in the Mi Account page if it has been turned on.

Then, sign out your Mi account on the phone now. Reboot and signin your Mi account and try to update again to see how it goes.

That is the last thing I can think of. It is strange indeed that it prompted for a Beta Account...

Actually, I don't have a Mi Account. I just created one signed and signed out, reboot and still have the same problem with the "beta authorised account".
I even downloaded the 8.2.3.0 stable version (my current version was ota updated to 8.2.3.0) and use the update package and is experiencing the same problem.
Something weird is wrong. I still unable to get my 8.2.4.0 ota update

is the camera supposed to be this bad?
not 16mp for sure, how to improve?

:s13: The 16MP camera is that bad in low light / night!

I know, in bright light/ sun light, multiple light sources condition, that 16MP performs very well but it screws big time the moment the light decreases.! :o

We have to swallow it! No choice if you like the 6.4" display! :o
