Just wonder, if Mi Max 2 is going to be announced later ... Gosh!

I'll probably get Mi Max 64/128gb for my wife, SD 626 is such a bummer.
Even if SD660 is available for Mi Max 2 Prime, it will be months away.

Really hope Xiaomi will continue current trend & prices, not becoming another Vivo, Oppo, Asus, bloated prices. Is it going that way?

OTOH, Xiaomi should not walk the path of LeTV. There's no single brand that is good for all types of consumer electronics or household products or sunglasses. Maybe this is how it works in China.

:s13: The 16MP camera is that bad in low light / night!

I know, in bright light/ sun light, multiple light sources condition, that 16MP performs very well but it screws big time the moment the light decreases.! :o

We have to swallow it! No choice if you like the 6.4" display! :o

is not just about the MegaPixels i believe (am not pro in this)
even under room florescent lighting, photos taken tend to have some noise as well as poor colors. Infact the camera on my redmi 3s is actually much better than the one on mimax :s22:

Yeah! Agreed!:s22:

Mi Max camera really shines under sun light but still noisy under room florescent light.:o

Ya. If camera in low light is not so important. 128 variant is a good buy for so call "unlimited" storage especially so if you do a lot of video recording.

Talking about video recording, Mi Max video recording is quite good actually. The video recording is definitely much much better than camera still shots for sure.

It's basically a standard practice to update to the latest official version!

However, I would suggest to rom it to eu rom.

With eu rom, you get the best of China rom without any Chinese bloatware and the best of Global rom without Global rom bugs.

**China rom is usually so much better and bug-free than Global rom as far as MIUI is concerned!

Root is very much depends on what more do you wanna to tweak!

Personally, I don't root as I don't need any tweak!

haha thanks guys for the advice.

Cuz I'm scared the same thing that happened to my samsung note 4 will happen. The specs was good but software update slowed down...

I'm more concerned about the camera only. Will experiment and post in the coming weeks

Strange MIUI just removed the link to the global rom 8.2.1.0, wonder if someone found any serious bug in it...

May be bugs found but again, the MIUI Team usually keeps 2 versions of firmware only for download. :s8:
