Welcome to Mi Max family starch1990! Wow! That is a good price. Bought mine just less than a month ago at higher price for same config but gold color... Thinking of getting another unit at this price but maybe wait till Mi Max 2 got announced and see what price then act accordingly...

Just placed an order on Qoo10 for 4/128

$329 for silver

Can't wait for it to arrive!

Check the MIUI version first. Take a photo of it if you can. Ask the seller what is the MIUI version loaded on the phone at the same time.

Depending on who your seller is. Almost all China expert sets are likely to be loaded with official China rom or hacked rom.

If it is so. Ask the seller if he or she can help to flash to the latest official Global rom for you on the spot.

3/32 and 3/64 version is 8.2.4.0.

4/128 is 8.2.1.0.

If the seller is not willing to flash for you. No problem. Come back here to read the guide and flash it yourself.

Besides that, do the basic checking like speaker sound, display no dead pixel, LED light is working, handphone jack is working. Buttons are working for power off and on and the volume button as well.

Take you own sweet time to check. No need to be shy and hurry. :)

Received my phone, 128gb gold.. its miui 8. All seems well.. do I need to update it or just run on this? I see some comments that the latest firmware cmi?

Got a 1year warranty at 30 also..

Any good casing which protects damage from dropping? I wanna prevent screen damage.. thanks in advance!

thinking of changing phone but can't live without dual apps.
Is dual-apps unique in MIUI8 or can be implemented in other brands' newer phones?

The latest is MIUI 8.2.1.0 for 4/128.

Wah this latest EU weekly ROM really jia lat

Not only causing my IMEI lost also battery drain is quite bad.. 4% in maybe 40 mins

Sent from LGE LG-D855 using GAGT

To all,

Don't flash the recent weekly, be it Official or eu rom leh. I already said it is very bad liao...

Just flash to the official Global stable or EU ROM Stable will be okay and solid enough.

Hmm... Strange indeed.

You are very sure that your Mi Max is running on the official Global Stable rom?

Need a favor from 64/128Gb owners:

if u play the most demanding game on your Mi Max, does it utilize all 8 cpu cores?

How many cpu cores are actually in use during heavy game play?

You can monitor cpu usage by installing Qualcomm's Trepn Profiler from Playstore.

Thank you.

Samsung as secure folder, Huawei got twin apps. But works on limited apps only.

Not as extensive as miui.

I guess the stock allocation for $319 had been snapped out.

That's why when you spotted the deal. You must make a fast and decisive move to buy it quick.

Cannot say, "Never mind lah, wait until I reach home then order...."

By that time you reached home, it was too late liao...

Price show $369.00 for group buy for the 4/128 leh .. did i miss the sale ??

no u didnt, but the shops increased the price whenever theres a sale going on, few days ago theres a $50 coupon, now $100.

actually the price now is more ex than pre-sale

suntec it show prices also expensive than normal qoo10 prices for newstar

the only window/time to buy is hours after a new voucher appears $20/50/80/100, BEFORE the prices r adjusted

but will the shops honor the sale???

last i read tens of pages back, the shop juz didnt deliver the goods & the money stuck in limbo?

Let's say if the stock allocation for $319 promotion was only 10 sets.

Any "over booked" of 11th set onwards, the seller has the right to cancel the "over booked" orders just like what United Airlines did to its pax?
