Brother how to get 8.5.1

Mine is global set purchased last time.. it auto updated.. I tried the old root method and it fked up the phone. Had to undo the root for phone to function properly.

Hi all. Some of you may remember that I was trying to resolve the low volume music playback issue a while by flashing a locally-procured Max to the EU ROM. I never got around to it due to work, but with the latest OTA update to 8.5.1.0 (NBCMIED), on Android 7.0, it appears Xiaomi has resolved the audio issue.

BTW, is the auto brightness on 8.5.1.0 behaves properly?

What I mean is that does the brightness level goes back to the preset level after switching off the auto brightness?

No, it doesn't go back to the previous preset level after switching off the Auto Brightness.

Example:
With Auto Brightness OFF, I set it to say 20% brightness using the slider.
I then switch Auto Brightness ON, the slider moves, say, to 60%.
I then switch Auto Brightness OFF. The slider remains at the same setting (60%). It does not go back to 20%.

U just need root and under clock the CPUs. Then the battery will last longer.

You could have a faulty card. Try swapping another card. Happened to me once on another phone.... Swapped a card and the drain went away.

After awhile, most people will realised that, without battery, the best camera phone will still not be able to take any picture at all.

If don't talk about screen size, cpu specs, etc .... the most important thing is battery life.

But different people have different priorities. So for those who have priorities for camera quality, then Mi Max is not the phone for them.

Yes. It is a shame that mimax or xiaomi in general doesnt utilize the camera sensor properly and same time never release the source code for app developer to improve it.

Btw my second hand bought z5 is not so bad can still last a day (6 hours SOT) with same usage pattern as mi max

Z5 2900 mah. Mimax 4850 mah

Just tested out with a huawei quick charger, the mi max can quick charge with the lightning in a circle. Estimated charge time is around half the time with original charger.
