im on 8.5.1 now, everything behaves normally without root. with root the brightness problem and no sim card detected issue surfaces, didn't had this issue with previous versions

Hmm... Your Brightness returned fast and correctly to the preset level after switching off Auto brightness?

Can try few more times to reconfirm?

OK lah. As long as it is proven not damaging the battery and phone by charging it using a quick charger. :)

Based on my understanding of electronics, using a QC on a non-QC device should not cause any damage. The QC circuitry will simply fail to detect a QC phone on the other end, and use 'base' or 'minimum' default specifications for charging (i.e. slow charging). Have no fear.

When I was using official rom, there was a circle indicating fast charging.

Now, I'm using eu rom (China based rom), and there isn't any circle anymore! :eek:

The type of rom plays a part ? :s11:

on eu weekly rom, has circle..
