This MIUI 9 Beta rom is very broken. Among other bugs, many basic and stock widgets are missing. Page layout is also cocked up. You will be very frustrated for sure. Apps also don't run as smooth as it should be. Many micro lags.

You either stay at current MIUI 8 Beta or MIUI 8 Stable. :)

The Mi Max 128GB is like abandoned. It still prompts me to download the 7.6.8 Beta. No updates after that.

i have problems with the corresponding eu weekly rom.
after wipe data and clean flash with twrp, everything went smooth for the initial setup.

But my problem start with restoring the data, backed up in previous version using mi backup app.

many settings not able to be restored. like system settings, contacts, call history, sms and some apps more...but WhatsApp is ok as with folder backup.

Worst is after full restore using twrp back up, cant login in with the pin.

you better check the forums feedback before going ahead.

Yes. MIUI 9 is simply too broken at this moment. A lot of incompatibilities with MIUI 8 in term of stock apps and settings thus the mess when you restored from a MIUI 8 backup.

Be it Global Beta or China beta based eu rom.

No go yet.

I'm very happy with my perfectly working MIUI 8 Android 6 eu rom 8.2.3.0 for Prime.. :)

no, my previous transfer from eu weekly miui8 to miui9 was perfect.
could be the backup data in miui9 first version corrupted.

Did you set your network to LTE only? VoLTE is not supported on MI Max on local Telco. If you set to LTE only you can do everything except calling and receiving calls.

Check that up.

It's a good way to avoid people calling you too, while still stay online. Don't tell anyone I taught you all this.

Got "LTE only" option meh? Mine only have "Prefer LTE" :

Ya, I have tried all network options available and it's still the same. Maybe Mi max 16gb is not supported to be used in local network?
