Hi all,

Just want to share that I replaced my Mi Max's bloated battery myself with a replacement from Unicell International at SLS (2nd floor) for S$22.50.

Unicell (battery.com.sg) is in the battery business (for phone and all sort of batteries, but only sell batteries, no replacement services) for a long while. They carry their own Unicell brand of replacement batteries backed with their own (30 days ?) warranty. A rare SLS shop that I trust implicitly and is my first stop for batteries and power stuffs.

When I last checked with them quite a number of years back for sealed replacement phone battery, they don't sell. Now that the phone market has shifted almost entirely to sealed batteries, I'm glad to learn that they now offer their own Unicell sealed phone batteries as well.

I will go back to them for future replacement, if only for their fixed prices and my own peace of mind. Just sharing, not related to them in any way except as a satisfied customer.

those "black color MI" battery on aliexpress and ebay are not authentic

my nohon brand , from the start I measured with app , it's only around 3200mAh or 2/3 of the original capacity

so far 8 months it's holding well
I made the effort to only use it within 20% to 75% ... don't over drain don't over charge

It's only a month since I switched over to the Unicell battery, no problem so far.

Er, I was told, long ago, that they have their own factory to make their house brand batteries. You might want to visit their SLS shop to find out more. It's not a phone repair Beng shop. I find it reassuring to find a reliable local supplier for my phone batteries.

I will visit the shop.need to change battery for mi max 1.hope they have stock

I bought from SLS battery shop for 22.5 with four months warranty. One thing to note is to pick up a battery of 2019 manufacturing date. They have old stock of 2018 also. I have replaced it. Charging now. Max 1 is not my daily driver nowadays. Will try to share the results of the battery.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm able to get voLTE on TPG with 'ims' APN but not M1. How do I go about to enable voLTE on M1?

My Mi Max (used by my kid) finally died because of bloated battery, for safety reasons I throw it away, instead of trying to replace the battery.

Bought a cheap S$199 Realme 5 (3GB/64GB) to replace it. Seems to be pretty okay.

I was deciding between Redmi Note 8 (S$269 for 4GB/64GB local version) and Realme 5, in the end I went for the cheaper Realme 5 (720p is okay for YouTube).

Could have gotten Mi Max 3 4/64GB export set (Global ROM with 1 month seller warranty) if just need a large screen and/or replacement for Mi Max 1.

Thanks for the suggestion but I will only buy local set to save the hassle, since the way my young kids use the phone is a bit rough.
