This I agree. Upgraded to a 128gb and other than seeing more spare ram in task manager, the performance increase is hardly visible.

Not really worth upgrading if you already have a 32 or 64 unless the price is cheap or you just want to upgrade for onboard storage or just for the sake of upgrading.

I have 32gb and 64gb, not much diff.
I also have a 128gb iphone and the available space is 90gb..so if really need to large storage then get 128gb.

there is a file which is bundled with twrp (for respective variant of max) so that you can skip the unlocking boatloader process. which makes things much easier since you doy not have to wait for permission from Xiaomi.

why root? to control your phone CPU,remove ads, disable battery-hogging-stuffs you don't need,which does not affect the performance of the phone at the same time. (that explained my short list of running apps list)

64 and 128 are using the same Global rom. They are both categorized as "Mi Max Prime".

Actually, you confused ba. The 64 has 3gb ram but cpu is the same as the 4gb 128.

Obviously and technically, the rom knows how to configure the 64 and 128 accordingly ba.

No need TWRP to skip unlocking permissions from Xiaomi, just use fastboot ROM + EDL mode.

i get from taobao but not totally transparent, i got those have cover on the top and bottom with a bit on the size. but cant see any bubbles at the side.
