I read here that the Mi Max from Newstar do not have the global rom installed.

My set from Newstar is running MIUI Global Stable 8.2.1.0 (MBDMIDL) after OTA update.

Is this the real global rom?

Anyone tried installing MyTransport Singapore?

It says my device isn't compatible with this version.

Ya. It is original if it was from an OTA update.

8.2.1.0 has not been officially published yet but some random folks have gotten it via OTA which is being pushed by Xiaomi. :)

It is an official Global rom / update. Nothing to worry. :)

No, according to Xiaomi forum. Is beta release Global rom. Now a day they have so much less tester that they have to push it via OTA for more user to test.

Just go flash your own ROM, the Lineage OS one is so much better than official MIUI one, somemore already on 7.1.1.

Going to prata again.

Actually, no lah. I will keep my Mi Max even I go for S8+. It is such a rare and awesome huge screen phone. :)

Worth every cent to keep rather than spend it on roti prata. :)
