which one am i supposed to use

Yours is Mi Max 3/32 or (3/64 or 4/128)?

Those are Beta/Developer rom.

You should use Global Stable 8.2.1.0 and use the Fastboot ROM to flash your Mi Max.

3/32 Fastboot ROM here!

3/64 and 4/128 Fastboot ROM here!

Unless you wanna flash the beta / developer rom which I don't suggest for you at the moment. Coz, later you kpkb this app doesn't work, that app doesn't work, seriously.....Kekeke.

Well u can try downloading the ROM and see if u can do it from download update option(if there is 1) but I did it with PC.

I just tried using MiFlash Beta to flash for my friend's Mi Mix but it keep crashing.

Can anybody confirm whether is it the MiFlash Beta problem?

Anybody knows how to flash stock global / Developer firmware via stock Recovery?

Will installing TWRP disable Auto Update for firmware?

unzip the file twice, ie, tgz->tar-> folder. then point to the folder.

I'm on Global developer 7.3.2 now. Decided to go with developer rom as it has fixed many stock apps and 3rd party apps problem as compared to Global Stable.

I tried but I can't put the Mi Mix (not Mi Max) into EDL, can only put it into "Fastboot". When I clicked "Flash", it only take 1 sec and it show "Success". At the same time, Windows prompted that MiFlash is beling "force closed".

Maybe Mi Mix is different from Mi Max.

unlock? you don't have to wait for SMS in order to flash unless you want to root.

Hi, please make sure to boot the MiMax in EDL mode which displays a blank/black screen instead of fastboot mode (phone logo and usb cable). Once you hit Refresh in MiFlash Tool, it should show device as COM3 or something similar.

Here is a simple guide for your reference (you can use the latest MiFlash instead of beta) :

Yes must be in edl mode to flash with Miflash beta. When u in edl mode connected with Miflash beta, it will show a USB com connected. U should be safe to proceed.
